Emilia Clarke (HBO’s Game of Thrones), Henry Golding (A Simple Favor, Crazy Rich Asians), Michelle Yeoh and Emma Thompson star for director Paul Feig (A Simple Favor, Spy, Bridesmaids) in the romantic comedy Last Christmas, with a screenplay by Academy Award® winner Thompson (Sense and Sensibility, Bridget Jones’s Baby) and playwright Bryony Kimmings.
Kate (Emilia Clarke) harumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jangle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Tom (Henry Golding) seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate’s barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snow fall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart.
Last Christmas features the music of George Michael, including the bittersweet holiday classic of the film’s title. The film will also premiere brand new unreleased material by the legendary Grammy-winning artist, who sold more than 115 million albums and recorded 10 No. 1 singles over the course of his iconic career.
The film is produced by BAFTA winner David Livingstone for Calamity Films, by Emma Thompson, and by Paul Feig and Jessie Henderson for Feigco Entertainment. The film is executive produced by Sarah Bradshaw.

He’s a ghost. Proof! 1. He’s wearing the same clothes throughout the movie, probably what he was wearing when he died. 2. We do not see him interact with anyone other than Khaleesi. 3. The song choice is telling. “Last Christmas I GAVE YOU MY HEART”. She had a heart transplant. He’s the donor. 4. Her boss is also of Asian descent, and we can’t have two minorities of the same race in a movie without them knowing each other or being blood related. He’s her dead son.

Well, that is the beauty of watching the trailer of a movie, if it hasn’t sold you on it for two and a half to three minutes then there is no way you’re gonna spend money in a theater for two hours to watch it. It’s basically two to three minutes of free entertainment.

I can see where people are coming from, they put the main themes in it, but it is a *3 minute trailer* for a movie that will be close to *2 hours* 120 minutes. Sooo... a 120 minute movie cannot possibly tell you the whole story in THREE MINUTES! Sorry @wittyname I didn’t mean to offend YOU. I agreed they put some things in they could have left out, but knowing Emma Thompson’s brilliance, especially as a screenplay writer, I think we may be underestimating some twists and turns Kate and Tom go through. And also, my goodness who wouldn’t want to watch Emilia Clarke in this type of cutesy role? She’s adorable and funny and sexy and just like Henry, very charismatic. well the comments did not "spoil" anything because when they wrote it the movie was not even out. they were all predictions of a SUPER PREDICTABLE plot...the movie looks so fucking cliche that it hurts. it might be a sweet romcom but still you can see where is going to end a million miles away. Some of the scenes were hard to watch without getting teary eyed. Loved the scenes he takes her to the skating rink to help her, the homeless shelter to volunteer, and his place where they opened up about their scars, so to speak. I can relate to her when she talks to him about when she nearly died. The hard part was the bench scene when she remembers everything and understands his quote, "Look Up". It was absolutely touching to read George Michael gave his blessing to use his music especially "Last Christmas " as the soundtrack. The way Emma Thompson incorporated the lyrics "Last Christmas, I gave you my heart" into something so beautiful that had nothing to do with what one might think. His music brought out the best in this movie. I loved it but some scenes were tough to watch especially knowing her Angel is no longer there for her yet she still thinks about him and misses him. So beautiful I cried.

A 3-minute trailer is usually not a good thing. For a film like this a long trailer is fine, but they need to be careful with not giving away too much. Longer trailers like the Justice League ones are fun to watch, but then by the time the movie comes out you gave a feeling that you've already seen the movie, so you have no motivation to pay for it.

Honestly I'm very very grateful for this movie having been made. Firstly, the SOUNDTRACK. George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley were overdue for a complete soundtrack of their works, and even if it is dominated by George's back catalogue, Andrew played a big (and small cameo) part in bringing Last Christmas to us. Then there's Emma Thompson's screenwriting which really sparkles with her wit and intelligence, and Emilia Clarke is the perfect vehicle for it to play out on screen. She is completely genuine in this role, and all the more touching because of it. It's also just a lovely advertisement for the beauty and wonder and magic that is London, especially at night. You will NEVER have enough time to discover all of the treasures that London has in store for you. Such a feel-good Christmas flick that rewards repeated viewings. Thank you to all who are responsible for Last Christmas!

I cried when I read that George actually knew about & loved the movie from Emma Thompson.
