I love a smaller, more custom home. Quality over quantity. I think when we're 20 something, we want the biggest house on the block, but the materials may be subpar. Then you get older and wiser and you realize you don't need an arena. You need quality, affordability, character, and closeness. Everything is stunning!

All I can say is WOW!! Alex you should be so proud of how hard you both worked on your inspirational new home! I am in my 50’s with 2 grown boys but they are 28 and 25. You and Michael were the very First You Tubers/ Influencers found 10 years ago. You are both the most humble and grateful couple who don’t flaunt their fame like so many others! You Alex have class and you don’t need to prove or ever have to explain yourself to anyone! This foundation of this home is a huge example to how your sons are being raised and how they will grow into sincere and thankful young men. Please don’t even waste you time reading the haters comments. There will always be jealous critics but it’s sad they chose to live in darkness. Keep on making these videos. I along with so many others viewers can’t wait to see your content and the joy that shines through all of your faces. Your boys are Everything and they will copy your actions and be respectful humans in this crazy world. I also had my dream home 30 years ago and the memories last a lifetime.. My boys have moved on with their lives and that’s how it goes but I miss them every day even though I couldn’t be prouder of them. My youngest is 25 and joined The Special Forces Elite unit of the army 2 years ago. To say my life has changed is an understatement… It’s hard when you can’t see them or talk to them but you always pray for them. He is my hero and the community we live in here in NY. Everyone always says Thank you for your service but doesn’t that apply to everyone who really cares about others and knows the value of hard work? Your parents and grandparents are your foundation and it shows down to your boys. Enjoy every crazy minute because in the blink of an eye they will be driving and going to college. Like is all about change and how you react to it. God bless you Alex your family and the gorgeous Palm Home. Who knows we might be neighbors some day. Moving to Florida has always been a dream for this New Yorker so who knows. Keep these videos coming. You have no idea how many people you have reached and are living proof that hard work is the American dream and it does still exist🥰😎🌴

That pole is a support pole. We had 2 in our first house. When we remodeled, the contractor would not take them out as they were a support structure for the house. We put crown moulding on them. They turned out pretty good.

I love all the cabinetry absolutely and that bathroom!! My niece has two kids in two rooms. She put a queen in one room and twins in the other room, so that when guests come, the queen bedroom is for the guests and the two kids sleep together in the other room. She loves that. I think you actually said your boys want to share a room right now so that would work. Also, you could actually put a sleeper sofa somewhere downstairs either in the living room or the extra room where Michael calls it his space. But that sleeper sofa could pull out for any other guests that don't mind sleeping in that open room for the night! Just some ideas.
