All good things come to an end! The Kalymnos-vlogs were some quality content, keep that up! And also the voice-over while climbing is nice... Well done :)
@theotaaku7 жыл бұрын
yes, the voiceovers are really good, because as a viewer you normally can't tell how good the holds are or what thoughtprocess was behind certain moves

3:21. Rumor has it that, as an infant, Magnus learned to remove his shirt even before the soft spot on top of his developing newborn skull had closed. Of course he climbed vertical structures before he learned to walk upright as well.

I really liked the videos from greece. Some of the vlogs (the earlier ones) had some great landscapeshots as well. The voiceover was great, especially when the climbing footage was shot well. (I know it's hard, if there are only two to three people at the crack) So thanks for the great content of your trip. Really enjoyed it. Greetings from Germany.

Sensational vlog! Love the music and everything. I have some questions about Kalymnos, I want to go there on December in the holiday break, would you recomend going there in that time, is the ferry still runing or do they have a break? Could you recomend some places? I'm also thinking about going to Todra in Maroco, have you ever been there or planing to visit? From my site, if you like big walls I recomend Paklenica in Croatia, I think there would be some 8c's for you :)

I'm Greek and had no idea Kalymnos is known for its climbing! I also saw an interview by Honnold saying it's nice for climbing beginners! (but 8a doesn't sound too beginner-friendly to me..)

Hey, nice videos about Kalymnos, what was your trip date ? I used to go there in april/may but temp are to high to climb mid may. I would like to go in oct/nov but don't really know what is the best time.

If it wasn't my last day I might have. When I visit a new place I like to just climb a lot of routes and see as many different sectors as possible. But if I went to Spain or somewhere I have already been many times, I would invest more time into something really hard.

@Life On Two Wheels at an onsight you have no information about the route, only what you can see from the ground and you have to put every QuickDraw yourself. At the flash you sre allowed to get beta before the try and you don't have to put the quickdraws yourself.

so when one guy goes up. how you get your quick draws back?
@philipppuchner11156 жыл бұрын
10:30. The Top are fixed anchors. In an overhang, just connect your harness through 1-2 draws to the rope and the belayer lets you down to the ground. On the way down, you can collect all draws.

Is there a difference between a Flash and an Onsight? And what is a "Redpoint"?
@justiny53857 жыл бұрын
"Flash is also first go, but you can get as much info as you want without actually trying it yourself. For example by watching someone it, looking at photos, video etc." - per Magnus himself. Redpoint is climbing the route all in one go without a fall AFTER having already tried the route. So lots of people go for a onsight, fall. Maybe finish the climb and then Redpoint it later.

@oscar81807 жыл бұрын
I believe its still 9a ( could be wrong), but there are a few 9a+ projects and for sure there has to be an unbolted 9b somewhere on Kalymnos/ Telendos
