I go back to work on February 4th and am so glad you made this video! So many things that I added to my list to do before going back to work .Also, about how much water are you drinking a day? I am a breastfeeding mom and would love to get my supply up before going back to work.

You sound like you have it all figured out girl! That’s awesome. I’m about to breastfeed for the 2nd time with my 2nd little boy. I did not respond well to a pump with my 1st and I’d be lucky to get 3oz on just one side. I’m hoping to be able to pump more this go around because I would like to try to work again. For my sanity as well as being able to help my husband out with bills. Good luck with everything though!

Wow 12 weeks ?? I took all my holiday from 28 weeks pregnant (the summer heat here in England was killing me and I work in a hot nursing home) and I’m not due back to work until May. My girl will be 7 months old.

Honestly, the hakka only catches my extra milk, it doesn't extract it like what you were stating... So not sure if I am doing it wrong, but I am pretty bummed and kept it for the sole purpose of catching the leaks!

I use it with both breast stimulated! I suction it on until there is a steady flow of milk coming out and once it stops i will re-adjust it and re-suction it on until the milk is flowing again. I have one followers who noticed it doesn't work with only one breast stimulated that she has to have both stimulated in order for the milk to flow! Hope this helps ya out girl, if not at least you are able to catch a little extra milk that would otherwise me wasted! :)

It was SO hard to leave him but the day went by super fast and I was home in no time for snuggles! I will admit it went way better than i expected!!

I bought the Boon Trip travel drying rack that comes with bottles brushes to clean my medela bottles that I pump into and breast pump parts. I love it! Might be more compact for you so you don't have to carry as much. I got it on Amazon, check it out!

I breast fed my daughter for 2 years and also pumped at work. I used medela Pump in Style and would get 10 ounces in the morning, then 3 hours later would pump around 6 with the same pump. Supply drops as the day progresses and I think that’s true for most women. So given that you got 7 ounces from spectra on your third pump of the day is AWESOME.

Hey mama I am loving your videos!!!! You are doing such a great job as a FTM!!! I am expecting my second boy and I swear with the first one I had so much anxiety and PPD I couldn’t get it together for the first 3 months! Breastfeed him for an entire year! Now this time around I feel much better, even though 2 under 2 won’t be no walk in the park! I love to see how you got it down like a boss mom!

Boon has a portable drying rack at Target that comes with the cleaning brushes and Dapple also makes a travel size dish soap. I use them when I’m on the go to clean my pump parts. They are awesome. 🙂

I wanted to get the medela bustier to pump hands free, but it doesn't fit my pump :( The holes aren't stretchy and my pump doesn't have the breast shield separate like it is the case with medela pumps :(.

When you use your haakaa as a pump, do you squeeze and release or do you just attatxh and leave them? I’m so jealous that you can get that much on them, most of the time I only get like an ounce even when my daughter is nursing on the other side

I squeeze and suction it on and when I notice that milk stops flowing I re-attach it! There is another way to attach though where you fold the flange down and stick your nipple in the hole squeeze it then fold the flanges back up to suction around your breast. I've heard some people have better luck with this however it didn't work for me!

How accurate are the Medela bag measurements? I have been putting any milk I pump into bottles too and then into bags because I found the bags show there’s more than I put in them. Also, have you been nursing on demand or every 2-3 hours?

Dulce Cisneros yeah I always measure them in bottles first because I’ve noticed the same thing with the bags!

I would highly suggest getting a Medea harmony pump ( it's manual ) pump one side and use the Hakka and switch. This is how I pump at work. Also that pumping bra is amazing! I wish you luck you got this!

Can you explain the haakaa use. I was under the impression it is only used to catch the letdown when baby is nursing. How are you able to use it when he isn’t nursing?

Most people only use it to collect let down, however it works just like a manual breast pump! I have two Haakaa's so I use them together! I Stimulate let down by doing fast tiny squeezing motions and then wa-lah the milk starts flowing from both sides! I do have a follower who exclusively pumps and tried to use just one haakaa to pump one side at a time and it wasn't working. so she used her electric on one side and the haakaa on the other and with both breast stimulated it worked! so she is ordering another haakaa to use those on both breast instead of her electric pump. (hope that makes sense!)

Hi.. I loved your videos. I do have a question which I keep asking to every mom and also the lactation consultant. I have a 2.5 month old newborn and I am returning to work next week, so I can relate how you feel now.. what do you do for night pumping. Does your baby sleep longer, if so do you still get up and pump?. My little one sometimes sleeps 5-6 hrs some lucky days, so I still get up and pump in 3-4 hrs and feel very tired due to lack of sleep and get up to feed again when he gets up. Any suggestions ?

Laura Matmon the state I live in have laws that allow you to pump at work as much as you need, look into your state laws regarding pumping😊

Also I know for a fact that It’s not super peachy getting so much time off either and I know that because my cousin actually went into depression ! It’s so nice to see woman who go back to work. We are TTC and as much as I would love to stay home once we have a baby, I don’t know how much of an option that is considering my husband and I are both teachers. Does your work have somewhere for you to pump?
