I am glad that You Tube prompted your video as it is just the type that I like to see! Your calm narration and good videography makes for interesting, informative and entertaining viewing, and your choice of soundtrack adds to one's enjoyment! I particularly like your vessel, and an really pleased to see that you are investing the huge amount of labour, materials and finance needed to bring her back to a seaworthy condition. I shall enjoy catching up on your video archive and am pleased to subscribe to your channel. Whilst I usually can't stand videos which contain sponsored promotions, I wholeheartedly support sponsored promotions of materials used in the actual project and which may be of interest to viewers like myself, which this particular product is!

I cannot believe the amount of effort you have put into this project. I have enjoyed each and every episode from the very beginning including the interesting and humorous commentary to the occasional music. I hope that in a new future episode you include a celebratory gathering of friends showing us all how much fun you will be having!

I am beyond impressed with the amount you have learned through this project, I love that you not afraid to show your mistakes or even that your not a boat builder. This channel will give many people who want to do this that extra push because they can relate to not knowing a whole lot. All you need is the will to do it and the rest comes with trial and error. Thank you for documenting these.

You've done an amazing amount of work...congratulations !!! With the sound insulation, you might want to tape all the seams with metallic air conditioning duct tape to make it a continuous surface. Noise can transfer through the small seams and reduce the effectiveness of the sound barrier.

I love the narration over the time lapse... I just caught these in the recommended column and started with this one. I find myself wishing we knew what it looked like inside... the layout... and I wanted some idea of what you want it to look like when you are done. You've probably done all that in earlier videos so I guess I have some uploads to check out.

What you're grinding away is "fairing compound" Used to "fair" the hull... Or give it the final shape and smooth. Fairing compound is much different then just normal "filler compound" Investigate this and discuss it with your local marine supplier... From the looks of the trapped water you'll more then likely be removing all and starting from a bare hull.... When it comes time to do this find a local that has some experience with this. There's is a trick and process that will help a lot with your final result... You'll need a yard that offers blasting service. Looking good. Keep it up!👍

Wow, I cannot believe how much Bondo is underneath that paint. Btw if you want a tip to help you out as you go forward, here is one for you. Feather back those edges completely, where you have removed Bondo feather back the edges all the way. The purpose of this! so you will have the maximum amount of surface area to help secure the new Bondo to the surface of the boat. Hope this helps you out, the boat restoration is coming along great by the looks of things. Keep the videos coming bud. cheers ...

W końcu to skażenie morza. Zazdroszczę możliwości☺! Wiek nie pozwala na takie "doświadczenia"😉!! Wierzę, że efekt zadowoli armatora, a woda, wiatry i stopa wody pod kilem, pozwolą na wiele radości z pływania☺! Pozdrawiam z Gdyni, miasta stoczni i samemu doświadczającemu radość z pływania☺

Ultimately, a strip and repaint would be best but understand that's not possible where you are. The thickness of the bog on the hull is incredible, this would add so much weight, also the bog being hydroscopic is where all your problems are coming from with the blisters.

Great progress in everything you have done to your steel boat so far .. TOP .. !! and I saw your new sanding machine, that is a well-known brand. But what I didn't expect is that so much plum is smeared on this boat .. if I saw it correctly in your video that there is almost 4 cm plumure at the bow. wonder why they ever did that? because steel expands in summer and shrinks in winter, moisture will always get behind the plumage.

A friend of mine had a boat very similar to yours many years back. I think it was a few feet longer, but not much. He bought it in the Netherlands and we brought it over to the UK. It was a memorable trip in November. We took it from Neuport, down the canal to Dunkirk. (Before the Dunkirk port re-build). We then took it through the ship lock next to a massive cargo boat, and across the channel, chasing the ferry. Okay, so they beat us to Dover. But then, we only had a 9-knot hull and it was in the back end of a force 4. We then had a sunny trip around the coast and up the Thames to its new home. I wonder what happened to the boat? That was in the early nineties and I have lost track of the owner.

I recommend you use heating duct work metal lined tape to tape your seams and around the pipes and areas where there are seams, it will make a difference in sound and reduce speed of firespread. If you have any Fire and it gets into those seams and behind the insulation it will burn hot and become very toxic! It would be money well worth spent if for a sad reason it catches on fire in the middle of the water sway from land. It could also reduce the fire getting oxygen! You could also place a decent size CO2 bottle for Fire protection and/or use a fire grenade placed in there in case of fire! I am a Former Fire Chief and Paramedic and they have and will continue to save lives. Out on the water you are your own fire department for a Emergency due to the delay in getting help! Keep up the great work 👍!
