FYI based on testing I was just doing, the affix that increases damage of skills used by shadows seems to affect the shadow falcon damage and it is actually a lot stronger than using the dive bomb damage affix for your helm. I just spent a lot of time crafting a helm with dive bomb damage and it felt weaker. Turns out it is :(

Really? I will have to go back and test it more. I tried to see if that worked with 90% from BD passive and 3 idols for shadow damage but didnt see significant difference on fresh dummy hits after removing roughly 65% damage from shadows on idols. Although I did have points in avian arsenal and in the node that gives flat damage in the smoke bomb so that will taint the results a bit and make it harder to see

@mahonezgaming3817 idk about the idols, but the helm enchant seems to work. At the very least it's on par. I definitely don't see lower numbers when I change helms. I will test it a bit more to make sure but outside of the dummies I also failed to one-shot a boss with the new helm immediately after swapping.

​@@danro7593I added it to my loot filter so I can try it out with the affix, someone suggested the Talons of Valor bow even for the umbral blade setup and that made my damage shoot up as well(insane CD and flat damage) just so many interactions to test right now

Think they hotfixed the duration now, to only apply once. Is this build still good? EDIT: Nvm still works, but they announced a hotfix.

The build overall will still be very strong but loses a lot of survivability that we were getting from 1 affix on helm/chest. You wont have the unlimited duration on smokebomb (therefore cant stack them) so the ward generation will be significantly lower making that affix much less valuable. This also means you could replace smokebomb for shurikens if you wanted to lean more into the armor route but its still probably the best option. In terms of the ward on shadow generation affix I would say it is a skip and ideally you go for Dex paired with Shadow Dagger Pen/DiveBomb/Falconry depending on if you want to lean more into the shadow daggers or falcons damage

That's not how the math works out. It isn't 6 seconds per bird. It truly does increase the duration by 40%, but it's 40% of the current duration not 40% of the base duration. It adds up multiplicatively, meaning each previous boost is counted when calculating the new 40%.

yeah that explains how people get it to stay so long in the online mono area, I had tested it with just 3 cast of dive bomb and the numbers of 6 seconds were fairly accurate but test size was too small. Should be gone soon tho

Try using a talons of valor bow, I actually blew through dive bombs cooldown so fast i casted 3 in a second. Also, Look at Skiasynthesis passive in bladedancers passive tree : ). Shhhhh you didn't hear it from me 😉

@@The_Real_Shectoryeah currently I went so heavy into the ward I dont get a ton of value from the hp but the bow was a great call. I used it with net/puncture and an explosive trap setups but never thought for this one because of shadow dagger synergy. Who cares about shadow daggers its just for procs on flat damage, cooldown and skill points

I already posted the bug two days ago on the official Discord. It seems to me like the 40% increased smoke cloud duration doesn't take the base duration of smoke cloud for the calculation, but the duration of the CURRENT smoke cloud and is multiplicative. With 3 shadow falcons, that dive once and then a second time, (bottom right talent) you get 6 times *1.4 - it stacks insanely high. I have Dive Bomb + Smoke Bomb on Autocast, forgot to turn it off and went afk for 5 mins... came back to some utter screen clutter, with 3000% inc glancing blow chance, 400 Dusk shroud stacks and 200+ silver shroud stacks :-D The thing is, you don't even need that bug for Falconer to be OP. I made a Falcon-Utility build for Shadow Dagger. Falcon and his skills do almost no dmg, but the utility is insane and will be even more insane, if they fix the "Aerial Assault doesn't move you anymore" and remove the traversal tag. This build will get nerfed hard next cycle, so play it while it lasts.

I agree definitely dont need to abuse this interaction for it or falconer in general to be strong but it is fun to see how strong the ward or even using the health regen node with like foot of the mountain and max endurance% can be. With that "Storm on the Horizon" node, I was looking at that before launch and wondering/hoping they would add the "removes traversal" tag, I would assume there is some bug where they dont want to release it seeing how people brought this up during falconer pre release info

@@mahonezgaming3817I really hope, they remove the Traversal tag with that talent point. I have quite some ideas about how to use it, either with more utility or with more dmg. And especially in boss fights, being stationary would be way better than jumping around (like Temporal Sanctum on T4 ^^). Low Life Falconer can be pretty nice too. Tried it out yesterday, 9k ward out of combat, 11k+ in combat, with 3.1k Life and 1.5k+ ward per Aerial Assault. Dmg suffers ofc, but i could tank the dragon timeline boss-AoE with 400 corruption...

sounds like you got the setup, I built into it a bit more but im still only around 6/7k on normal monos and around 12k for defense missions

@@mahonezgaming3817 i came across it the closer i got to 1k corruption and had to go more defensive and at some point when i stopped moving in my smoke clouds it ascended to strong levels :D will post my 1k corr update tomorrow/later if you want to see how far that shit goes mapping ward is 20-30k and defense missions 30-40k currently while all abillities are on autocast so i dont have to press any buttons as autobomber :P its awesome test its limits while it exists
