Last Ferreting Trip For The Season - 2020-2021

Went out covering some ground we hadn't covered before on the hope we would have a few more trips out, unfortunately nature decided otherwise and after preparing the rabbits it was clear this would be our last day.
All together this season has been a good one with a few jobs coming in the door and more permission gained. Paige has enjoyed her self with this being her proper first season out and shows good potential to be a good ferreting dog even if she's 7 years old and only there because she's my best friend..

When is a season? Is it a seasonal thing or a legal thing? Do rabbits hybernate in winter when the grass is not growing ?

It's a moral thing, rabbits traditionally breed March to September so you don't hunt them then. Only in the winter months when there's no young in the ground

@@RabbitExpress Thank you ! Fascinating job you do. And very valuable for the farmers. When I had Springfield in Colton,we never saw any rabbits. But then I went sailing. Ha ha
