We really needed some quiet time after the drama of the previous few weeks. Little did we know there would be more to come. *No spoilers for next week* We loved Jorquera's tranquility and tiny little streets. The food was interesting. The best view was definitely from the viewpoint on the other side of the gorge. Stunning. 😉 Ayora was lovely, the red line was a great idea. We can't understand why both of these places aren't marketed better to get more tourism. Ayora especially has the right idea once you get there and it's easy to visit. Just more people need to know about them. Let us know which one you prefer... 💜🤟

La Ruta del Hilo Rojo - the route takes visitors through a series of picturesque landscapes, historical landmarks, and cultural sites, all connected by the symbolic 'red thread' that represents fate and connection. I love how you take us on a journey to new places and therefore encourage us to do a bit of our own armchair discovering. This feels like it was a good region to decompress from all the stressful things the previous couple of weeks had brought.

@arcticfox50 What a great comment..! Thanks for the information Paulette. Once we worked out what the red line was doing, I didn't think to Google it. Shame we didn't notice the QR codes while we were there. Too busy kissing in the corner and looking at the floor..! 🤪 Hope you enjoyed your armchair discovery. 🤩 Much love as always. 😘💜🤟

Hey Kat Both places were really lovely and the terrain was spectacular. Yes, we really had to be stern with ourselves with little Luchadora. We would have loved to take her on., but it just wouldn't have been practical, as she wasn't old enough to have received her rabies vaccination before we needed to leave the country. *Empty nest syndrome is a real thing.* Thanks for caring. Much love as always 💜🤟

We gave little Luchadora lots of cuddles and we have been getting updates from the man that rescued her. She is doing well, eating well and hopefully a home will be found for her soon. 🤞💜🤟

I'm sending you both good vibes. It's so clear you're going through some things and are understandably emotional. It's okay-it's all part of being human. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing so much of your lives-through good and bad. I wish you the best. 💕

Hi Joanne, Thanks for your kind words. We are indeed having a really 💩 time at the moment and sadly it will get worse before it gets better. *No spoilers for next week* It's not easy for us to show our vulnerable sides, as we don't want to bore people with our baggage, when life is tough enough for some already. We try to bring the happiness out on the channel and make people smile. Thanks again for bearing with us. Much love Alison and Darren 💜🤟

@@findingxanadulife Well, clearly there are some tough times ahead, but I hope soon you will be back to enjoying your vanlife travels. Take care.

We're still enjoying the travelling and the sightseeing. Things are just getting a little on top of us with 'real life' in-between.😘💜🤟

You are too funny, we laughed at the following the red line. Thx for sharing

Haha you're welcome Suzie. We usually do these stupid types of things to amuse each other, but rarely put them in the videos. We'll try to remember to include them more often in future. 🤪😘💜🤟

Buenos días Ana. Nos levantamos temprano algunos días. Sentimos que necesitábamos probar la comida local, no habíamos probado mucho recientemente. Normalmente lo dejamos a otros canales.😬💜🤟

Thanks for sharing, lovely video again. BTW I rely on you guys to pull me through the winter (today was a very grey Monday an your video made it brighter) ♥

Oh Towah, sorry your day was gloomy. So glad that we could send you the sunshine, even if it was only for half an hour. Fingers crossed, the sad tone of the videos will be gone soon and we'll be back to our bright and happy selves. Much love from both of us 😘😍💜🤟

We think there would be a lot more of it to see if they excavated down. It looks like a lot of it has fallen in on itself and raised the ground level a huge amount. Still cool views though. Thanks for your comment. Much love as always. 💜🤟

Hey Heidi, We're currently trying to make the best of a bad situation and find our new normal. The events of the next few weeks will be tough, but we will always represent them honestly. Thanks for caring and that big hug is most appreciated right now, by both of us. Much love 💜🤟

Totally understandable you guys not feeling yourselves, but for what it's worth, the video wasn't a car crash at all, you took us to some lovely places and I loved seeing your 3 course menu. I (Dan) am always down for a bit of garlic mash, but did Alison say it was cold? Nooo 😂 Ayora looked a fine place for a stroll. I do love it when you find an unsung town to get lost in, even the UK still has them. That red line 😂 It seemed both crude and ridiculous, yet useful for those who can't follow signs (hi!) at the same time. Hope your journey back to the UK is going well. Bet you can't WAIT for our fabulous weather which has been particularly never-ending. Mind you, it might be refreshing after the intense heat. Temperature wise, October is pleasant at least so it might be nicer than when you came back in winter, albeit under sad circumstances I know. Take care both and much love to you and the furries ❤🤟

Hmmmm sorry for forgetting to say that the mash was cold. I think I was just so shocked that it was so salty and supposed to have fish in it, but didn't. 🤣🤣 Ayora was lovely. We really enjoyed being there. The red line was perfect for me, other than we didn't have enough time to walk it fully. I hate missing out on seeing cool stuff, but end up driving Darren mad by checking Google maps to see where we are and should go next. It would be much easier to simply follow a line in every town. 🤣🤣 We've had a few days of 'UK weather' hossing down with rain and then blowing a hooley, matched with night time temps of 4°c. We've even had to have the heating on for a while, a few mornings running and this week, put the hot water on for a shower...! We haven't done that since May...🤣🤣 Hopefully it will be an 'Indian summer' when we arrive. Keep everything crossed...🤪 Much love to you both 😘🥰💜🤟

Ayora has a wonderful festival called the Honey Festival, which starts 11 October for 3 days. All those little streets get decorated with everything Bee. It’s stunningly beautiful and well worth visiting then

We went to U.K. in May for 10 weeks, visiting England, Scotland & Wales finishing on the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately we cut our journey short as in 10 weeks we only had 8 days without rain. So we left the Isle of Wight in the morning & boarded the ferry for Santander that evening. Enjoy the The U.K. we’re off to Mequinenza next week, hubby Mark want to try and catch a monster

Gosh, that looks like a great place to catch a monster..! So sorry that you had so much rain in the UK. Unfortunately, that's why the UK is so green and lush. 🤷🏼♀️ Enjoy your break. 💜🤟
