For people who's asking why this car is being scrapped. Usually here in Korea, cars older than 10 yrs are considered old vehicle and when the cars age more than 20 yrs, they usually end up in scrap yard or get exported to other countries. It is because it sometimes costs more to fix it or can get more money when being exported. But if the car has frame damage (even if it's fixed), it is hard to sell it to other countries since buyers don't really want them. Or when you consider the transport fee and tax, it sometimes make the car difficult to be exported. Or, maybe it may get better value in parts rather than whole car.

Warehouse facilities could handle most of the stock recuperated, and nothing should be scrapped, to the smallest bolt, unless accidented. Car designers should be thought on how to implement recycled car parts in their new designs, making it possible for manufacturers to utilize as much material possible from the stockpiles. This methodology permits stakeholders and shareholders to get higher returns on their R.O.I.s. Even under chassis could be kept if corrosion is light, be sandblasted, gravelguarded, and made readily available for body shops.

He needed a small cordless screwdriver to save all that twisting, or maybe even one powered by some air. Division of labor would seem to call for the skilled guy to focus on his thing while a lower-paid guy does all the lifting and sorting. Also was surprised to see the guy using a cutting torch with no eye protection. He must be half blind. Admirable efficiency. It occurred to me, if this were the Germans, say BMW or Benz, it would be just as efficient, but everything- tools, scrap piles, etc- would be laid out in geometric perfection and the entire place would be absolutely spotless, as in: if a drop of grease were to hit the floor, some guy would scurry out of a door in the wall to wipe it up and then scurry back. Spotless. Those Germans are scary.

The South Korean government offers cash incentives to car owners to promote the early scrapping of their seemingly functional vehicles, particularly those classified as Euro 1~4, which were manufactured under more lenient emission standards in the past. This initiative aims to improve air quality and overall environmental conditions. By opting for early scrapping, car owners can enjoy the dual benefits of receiving money for scrapping their cars and taking advantage of the government's incentives. It's like hitting the jackpot with two advantages at once. Scrap car dealers, on the other hand, meticulously separate reusable parts and sell them as second-hand components. They also sell the remaining scrap metal to steel mills, generating profits. Moreover, both the central government and local governments in South Korea are deeply concerned about increasing the adoption rate of eco-friendly vehicles. To encourage this transition, they provide significant subsidies for the early scrapping of non-eco-friendly vehicles and the purchase of eco-friendly vehicles such as electric cars and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Additionally, heavy taxes are imposed on internal combustion engine vehicles to discourage their usage and promote sustainable transportation options. Furthermore, in Incheon, you will find a thriving presence of foreign used car importers acquiring a substantial number of vehicles that exhibit conditions similar to those depicted in the deregistered video. If you have an interest in exploring the Korean used car import-export industry, Incheon would be an ideal destination for your endeavors.

It is amazing that all parts are removed one by one almost by hand without using heavy machinery like Japan. Looking at this, it's like cutting a live fish with a kitchen knife

7:30 that airfilter looked pretty clean. The car probably had maintenance recently. Is it stated by law that cars need to be dismantled like you guys her do, or is it to sell the still usable parts?

When are the air bags detonated? Or does this one not have them. Some countries probably don't require them.

These parts, everything from bolts, retainers and bigger parts should be sent to warehouses, and designers should be thaught to include recycled parts in their new designs. This way, material costs can be minimized, and it permits manufacturers stakeholders and shareholders to benefit on higher returns for their R.O.I.s.

In korea, about 95% of the car is recycled before being completely scraped, it's required by law. I get what you are saying but i disagree with you, not with car parts.

Это побочка капитализма. Также уничтожают многоквартирные новые дома в Китае, утилизируют надоеденную еду повсюду, при том что миллионы голодают и бомжуют. Только при всепланетном коммунизме такой херни бы не было, и то сомнительно
