This Go One More mentality is what powers me through a new Netflix series. I just start one episode and continue the mantra until I'm done the season. I smash.

"Doing more of something does not mean that you deserve the outcome." Love that! We need to get out of the mindset of entitlement.

And this is true to many aspect in life but very much in running as well! Marathons are tough! Of course great times and achievements will require lots of training, but it's not a guarantee that you will smash that record/PB/CR! A LOT can happen in endurance!

That GI distress ain’t no joke. I’ve trained my fueling and still had issues out on course before. Thanks for the killer information and insights. Hope to see ya at CIM💥🔨⏰

Im new to the channel so I may be getting this wrong, but I assumed go one more meant for example, one more step, one more mile, one more big effort so it is scaleable and relatable for basically anything you do in life. I feel this explanation of it makes it harder to understand and less relatable/achievable. Really inspired by the channel nick. getting back to fitness at age 34 after two kids and an 8 year break.

Bring Ryan on the show, how was his preparation, how did they come up with race day plan. ???? Question we all wanna know.

I live in Massachusetts so I’ve only done these type of timed looped courses 😊 Anchor Down(24 max) in RI is getting popular so much so you need to have a qualified distance for the time block you’re going for. If you enjoy the New England ultra marathon scene look into. Ghost Train, Hamster Wheel, Notchview (up to 72hrs there), Forbidden Forest.

I have a 45 mile ultra marathon in October. I like the idea of walking the up and downhills 😊 this ultra also has a set of stairs.

just completed my first mind breaker. 6 weeks ago I started running more and following your hybrid program. 2 weeks ago I heard of a 5 hr backyard race. 2 days ago i completed it and did 27km, had more in me but cramped hard and physically couldn't step without falling. Loved it and absolutely going to be leaning into ultras. I have no interest in road running so skipping half and full marathons and signing up for a 50k next year!

Poo pooing marathons when you couldn’t even complete 42k and barely ran more than a half marathon. 😂 unless you meant 270 km.

GI distress is a factor you have to prepare and practice for. You’ve gotta figure out your fuel and what is the best for you.

Have you tried ginger or pickle juice for gastrointestinal issues? I've never tried it or ran ultras but I've heard others talk about it as a big help in calming the stomach and intestines.

Are you wearing the garmin epix or epix pro? 51mm?
@Mikenight120
@Mikenight120 Жыл бұрын
If he said he ran the ultra and kept it without charging an additional 10+ days, probably he has the EPIX Pro. Because I have the Epix Gen 2 and I only get around 12 days doing normal running. I do around 5k-10k runs (of course depends the day and workout allocated) and I also track my strength training with the watch. But I do have to say I love the watch.
@DonnieF85
@DonnieF85 Жыл бұрын
@@Mikenight120 that’s kind of what I was thinking but thought it was weird he mentioned he had the pro on the other watches but not the epix. I would assumed being Nick Bare he has the epix pro 51mm. Especially with that battery life.
