@4ortytoon It was conceived more as a satire of communist rule and it's absurdity. Of fabricating facts, of blatant lies of the ruling party, of controling every aspect of citizens lives. After Max, Albert and Lamia leave the bunker Max says: "Group! Direction east.... there must be some kind of civilization". Referring to the east of Poland. To Soviet union (at the time of filming still existing). The back drop is exaggerated on purpose to circumvent then still prolific censorship. But I understand how one might draw a simpler and shorter conclusion that it is men vs women.

women are just as capable of crime enough to warrant martial arts, trackers, and imprisonment. they're not made of dry dafadils and wet TP. Our species didn't get to this point with half of the population just waiting for a mild breeze to fall apart. in fact, i've personally seen a female police officer body slam a bitch that doesn't know how to relax. the male officers stood in the background probably knowing they'd get in trouble for handling a female that had already assaulted several people and destroyed some restaurant property or scared to earn the ire of their colleague whose patience ran with the wind 15 minutes into trying to calm down someone who wants to throw hands and tried it with her. women are nice until they aren't and the ladies running that fictional place are wise to know what they're capable of.
