I've followed you for so long. You give me such courage to at least try to do a project I've had in my mind but I'm frozen with indecision. It's called Autism with PDA or pathological demand avoidance. So frustrating but you give me strength to overcome.

@@UltimatePaperMache Thanks!!!! Lots of people give me a smile when I am at a stop sign. The owner of the Hodag store liked it. Since it is white, I call it a Snowdag. 🤣🤣🤣

This is great❗️It’s a great alternative for those of us not being home for the Trick-or-Treaters. Oh, I love your idea of the headless scarecrow❣️😍 Either one of the masks would be fun for the kids to see. Your doggies are so cute. 💓 Wishing you a happy and safe Halloween. 🦇🎃🦇

Where I live, I used to get trick or treaters. The first 5 years I did. The next following years after that I never had anyone else show up. I still belive someone will show up so I buy candy for them , just in case.
@jq214723 күн бұрын
I do the same thing, but then end up eating all the candy myself.
@UltimatePaperMache23 күн бұрын
That's what I'm afraid of! I know some kids will show up, but I don't know how many. I'm on a no-sugar diet, but I'm a sugar addict, so it's dangerous for me to have all that chocolate candy in the house. How do people avoid eating the extra candy that's left over? 🤨

I like that the chimp is smiling! He looks happy, the orangutan looks like he would rather be doing something else.

Good point! He isn't as welcoming as the chimp, for sure.

What a clever, fun idea. The head itself is cute, while the elevation will make it easier for the kids to see the bowl. I would have went with a skull or monster mask with red eyes (I like more spooky things). What you have is probably better though, less scary for the younger kids. I do think the Orangutan looks better. His wispy hair matches the bowl color better and breaks up the harsh chin line. (at least in my opinion... ) I actually think any head would be fun. Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes you have to do Halloween remotely…it’s okay. I love the silliness of the chimp, but also the colors of the orangutan. I think either one would really like to wear an old fashioned Halloween party hat.
@UltimatePaperMache23 күн бұрын
I think you read my mind. This morning I decided to keep the chimp, because he's a happy guy, but make him a pointy witches hat. That would work, don't you think? :)

Thanks for another great video! Sorry if you said it and I missed it, but I re-watched the part with the light up eyes over and over again and can't find a part where you say how to find the light up eye online to buy them. Are they called something specific? That size is perfect for a project I'm working on.

You're right - I totally forgot. You can find the ones I purchased from amazon.com here: amzn.to/3YtnuRi They call them mini LED ball lamps. Have fun! 😀

I made a ten inch pumpking using a balloon, put your clay on it, dried it popped the balloon and cut out the face. I bought clear colored fishing worms and had them sticking out of the pumkin. I put a small LED disco ball inside and glued the worms to the lights. Turn on the lights and the worms lit up randomly. I put it outside the door and ran piano wire under the door and attached it under the pumpkin. I put a rubberband from the bottom to the front edge of the step. I would watch through the peep-hole and when the kid would look at the pumpkin I would pull on the wire moving the pumpkin, wiggling the worms, scraping the wire on th we floor and the rubber band returned it to the start position. EVERY kid screamed and I had to chase them down to give candy‼️ Heh-heh-heh! Good thing I wasn't in costume...

Just curious if you've ever had a problem with bugs being attracted to your finished projects, or if your topcoat is enough to deter them? Thanks so much!♥️
@UltimatePaperMache18 күн бұрын
I haven't had that problem, but the kind of bugs that like paper mache don't seem to live in our climate. Not inside, anyway. I think the crickets would be happy to munch on a paper mache sculpture, but they stay outside. A lot of people who live in hotter, humid climates do have problems with bugs and rodents eating paper mache, no matter what kind of sealer they use.

How do i stop my paper clay from going mouldy as i like doing big projects so i need to store it for a while? Thanks
@UltimatePaperMache8 сағат бұрын
You can put it in the freezer, and then thaw it out again when you need it. Or just make smaller batches so you can use it up faster.
