I love watching you work on your sculptures! I will absolutely be trying this recipe. Do you think it could be used in the molds alone, without any layers of paper and glue? If so what would you suggest for mold release? I am trying to capture more detailed textures and my sculptures are much smaller than yours. Thank you for sharing your techniques.

Thank you!!! The paper paste absolutely can be used in the molds but it's a different technique. It's more fragile and it shrinks, but working small, like you are, it will take the details of the mold. There's a video in my paper mache playlist where a man makes a tangerine using toilet paper. That might help you. Make sure to use wax and some kind of thinner as a mold release. Vaseline migrates and can discolor the final piece. ❤️😊

you shouldn't use water so close to the outlet

Hi! They're all GFI outlets that would turn off if they get drops in them. Like in kitchens. 🙂

Toilet paper cost way too much to waste, use junk mail instead.
@atelierarenas4 ай бұрын
Yes. It's expensive. Where I live, there is no junk mail and no newspaper. And I like the standardization of my sculpture products. I know how they behave over time. I'm collecting toilet paper rolls to try. That'll give me the color that I like. Thanks for your comment ☺️
