Ray, I'm on the forecast desk again today. Satellite loop this morning indicates it's moving faster. Might get there earlier this evening. I've been debating (with the other forecaster) about the landfall point. He thinks it may move inland farther south, perhaps Port Charlotte. It's current trajectory would take it in around Sarasota, though. Good news for the Sarasota landfall is that this spares Tampa Bay a 15-20 foot storm surge. Water would actually be blown out of the bay near landfall with the strong east wind. Bad news is that the strongest wind may rotate to the north side at landfall - right over your shop in Bradenton. With all the work you've put into your shop, I hope it holds up to 100+ mph wind. That's a lot to ask of the old building. At least you secured all your shop valuables. Things can be replaced. I've watched (and liked) every single one of your videos since the first one. Let's not have a "Rebuilding the Shop" video, okay? There is a chance that the storm could track even farther to the south. The farther south, the better for you.

It’s an American thing. Auto trans has a little pin that engages with a gear inside the transmission, locking the drivetrain. People who never drive a manual tend to regard “Park” as the same thing as applying the parking brake. Then, because it’s so rarely used, the actual parking brake seizes up and becomes a problem, when someone finally uses it. Like most things, regular use and basic maintenance keep them working, but there’s no convincing some people. I guess you could argue that if he’s never going to use it anyway, there’s no point in fixing it.

Hi Ray! Here from Buenos Aires, Argentina, looking at the "hurricane news" on TV.....they showed the GUTS of the men riding on the "hurricane planes" directly onto the eye of that storm. Makes me shiver, and I have shared my quota of flyng and sailing on really harsh weather down here! I really hope It ends soon with minimal consequences . Keep tight, peolple!

Ray, I use a vacuum pump to suck in the pistons. Makes it easy to load. Of course that is when they are new calipers with no fluid in them.

If you have a vacuum brake system bleeder kit, you can use that to apply the vacuum, with or without brake fluid.

An FYI on the Vette…next time take the hub and rotor off as a unit and drill the rivets from the back…makes for smoother sailing and that way the bearings can be packed and seal replaced as you reassemble it…stay safe from Milton!🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have a niece that's been mandatory evacuated for the upcoming hurricane Milton. They lost their vehicles in the last hurricane. I'm feeling everyone's pain and it literally feels like someone is choking me. I don't normally pray and it's not because I don't believe because I do it's just I don't feel like he ever hears me but I will be trying once more for all of the people in the path of hurricane Milton. Easy way to keep grease gun clean., Simply wrap rag around nozzle end then put wrapped nozzle into freezer bag with rubber bands to keep bag from slipping off. With the heat of Florida, the rag with catch the grease as it gets heated and sloppy and bag holds it all inside.
