how is strangling someone to death with your belt in any way manslaughter?! It's not like she can say 'Oh well since I was so drunk I slipped and tripped and the next thing I knew the belt was off my waist and tightly around her neck, total accident!'
@cassandrahughes28973 жыл бұрын
She cut a deal for telling the truth as she knew it anyways... happens all the time better to have a confession and her get some time and the family habe some justice and not a drawn out court hearing they settled and let her plea out ... also she claimed that she never remembered why or that she even did it they were young and both under the influence . It wasn't proved to be anything with a clear motive or any premeditated planning of the murder. Therefore it's manslaughter at best with the information they had available.

I was charged with attempted murder but it was downgraded to aggravated assault when I explained what happened and went to jail at a treatment centre for 15 months atop the 7 months I was in holding but, as I walked across Canada and ran into cops I found that their records, rcmp, opp, etc. still have me down as attempt murder in their systems. Thankfully I can go for a pardon now but, if I was American, wow, I probably would still be in jail and not have had the chance to turn my life around.

As a Danish person, I'd just like to say thank you for the accurate description of the Peter Madsen case. This blew up all over Danish media ofcourse. And it's evident you actually researched the case before making the video. Sidefact: The photo you see of Peter Madsen in handcuffs sitting on the ground, is of when he tried to flee prison. The Danish prisons enforce "Freedom with responsibility" So he was free to walk around the workshop he was in, and walk unescorted to the shrink with a backpack. As he got to the shrink he told the shrink he had crafted a bomb that was around his waist, and if the shrink tried to call for help, he would detonate the bomb. The shrink then followed him to a backdoor under threat, and followed him to the maingate, where the shrink called the guard at the main gate, Peter repeated his bombthreat, and had the gate opened for him. Peter Madsen then fled for about 1 kilometer with 10 prisonguards pursuing him, he also had a dummy pistol and threatened the guards as they pursued him. The chase ended when he jumped into a van and threatened the driver with the dummy gun to drive, but before the driver could take off. He was pulled from the van by 3 prisonguards. Due to the bombthreat he was placed where you see him on the foto with snipers zeroed in on him from the ground untill the bombsquad could arrive to asses his alleged bomb. He is now moved to a more secure prison, and there was a big fallout afterwards about him having gotten too much freedom, and the other inmates also lost priviledges due to his somewhat succesfull attempt. (inb4 Americans: It's a big deal when cops in Denmark actually shoot a person. It is literally the very last option they ever go for. You will be pacified if you pose a threat, sure, but their main weapon is allways trying to de escalte the situation with words. Also if you have a gun in Denmark, that's not a hunting rifle, it most likely from WW2)

It's so tiresome how my fellow Europeans always have to have a jab at the yanks. It must be some type of superiority complex, like we have to constantly reiterate how much more civilised we are. It's just embarrassing and ignorant really... Denmark has a nerve to act superior considering their conduct in WW2, cowardly remaining neutral while the rest of Europe fought evil, they even supplied the Germans and did some of their banking and as a result had the least deaths of any European country. At least over small countries like Belgium put up the fight of their lives. I have never like Denmark or Sweden and Switzerland ever since, they act all progressive and enlightened but in reality they are selfish and elitist. I am grateful the yanks came to our aid and liberated much of western europe then kept the Soviets at bay in the cold war, which we all seem to have forgotten as we arrogantly mock them at every opportunity, on American computers and the internet they developed!

The sub case: He did plan his crime!!! Before he aproved to Kim's request to be interviewed he had asked several other women to come to his sub for a ride. And it's proven that he had been bringing several odd items that doesn't normally belongs in a sub, like saw, several screwdrivers, rope and what not... And the narrator don't tell a word about Madsen and his deadly interests in slashing and hacking and sexually harming woman bodies. The police found loads of shit on his computer. Videos photos and what not. And searches how to get rid of a body at sea... So at least I believe that he planned to do his crimes ahead. And sadly I don't believe that Kim was his first victim choice. Fate or whatever saved the others that refused or just declined his invitation and it was Kim that got all his fucked up brainwash ideas to get her killed. Poor soul! I'm Swedish so I've been following this case in fear and interest. Poor Kim's family and other close to her. And the story didn't end when he was sent to prison for life, the idiot made himself a form of bomb belt and threatened guard so he tried to escape! But didn't get that far outside the prison. One of the photos shown in this video, when he's sitting on the grass, is when he tried escape and had been forced to sit down. And above all this horror and what not he has married IN prison! A former Russian lady that now lives in Finland is married to him...how does a woman think well even consider talking friendly to such an arse... blows my mind And btw sorry for my crappy english.
@gammelmor2 жыл бұрын
@Fedor Silva she was a journalist/reporter! And had wanted to interview him for a long time. And he didn't plan to take her with him; he had asked two other women before Kim... So when both of them turned him down, he went to Kim. She and her bf were having a goodbye party that same evening because they were moving to China (if I remember right). So way to many odd factors led to Madsen would take Kim with him in there hell journey down to the bottom of the Kattegatt sea... Poor poor woman! And another thing, madsen was a famous person before this horrible act. He had made a name of himself as rocket man and he built that submarine by himself. So I don't think Kim was scared to ride with him. She was probably looking forward to do her interview and have a exciting trip in a submarine...but faith wanted others. One (out of 100s) that I know involves 'working on' the sciatic nerve. A colleague of mine lost one terrorist to a heart attack because to pain level became so intense his body went into shock and shut down. A little update on Peter Madsen, FYI: as set in the film, the head was the last to be found. since Madsen just gave these wierd storieson how she died, and where the rest of her remains were. The Police decided to search Madsens house where they found a two harddrive worth of snuff-porn and there were rumors that he may had been a part of a ring, who shared these things amongst each other. This was gain even more substance later when divers were able to recover some tech gear from the sub. By restoring what was possible after two weeks in salt water showed that Madsen had filmed Kims final hour, they could confirm that he stabbed her, in such a way that not a single one of the stab wounds in and of it self were fatal ,which means she was alive til the very last one. Peter Madsen, will never be a free man again... or so we thought in little Denmark. Somehow he had manage to make an attrap of a gun and convinced the psychologist he were being treated as a part of his sentence at, that he had no interest in ever trying to escape....well he did. He was free for less than 4 hours, someone wanted to keep him behind bars, because never since the war has more heavy armored unit been dispatched for a manhunt. they brought every last rifle and gun out that day. Madsen is behind bars again and was planing his wedding, yes wedding, with some freak a presume. Our politicians and the peoples at large, decided that him especially but also others of his evil kind should have that right taken away ,and so they did.

@@izzyneubs For me its disturbing how ''well'' psychopaths can behave, to deceive someone. It makes it hard to trust others. Otherwise we are often relying on trust, often even in strangers. That makes it so difficult. But yes, there are few useful principles i think... for example: never hitchhiking; never met a toxic aggressive ex-boyfriend who ''just want to talk'' ...and always trust your guts. If someone feels fishy , dont think 'what if i'm only to paranoid'. Even if the 'guts' are wrong...usually you dont lose any big thing by NOT met with someone...or go somewhere, you have a bad feeling about it. All those things are 'kind of' common sense. But mostly young people are into ''adventures'' often, and that makes them vulnerable. And yes, it also would hunt me, if i met Madsen before his killing.

Literally they just cant feel empathy. It even doesnt mean they cant act empathic. To compare it with ''us'' - its like to go to the dentist. We dont want to, but we understand that we need to, to keep our teeth functional. Usually also psychopaths recognize the usefulness of acting empathic. And like you already said: they not all violent killers. I'm sure if a psychopath is intelligent he usually choose to be manipulative, instead of being violent.

I remember the submarine case here in Denmark. It was such a huge case and truly one of the most horrifying and disturbing ones I've heard about so far. A little correction though: Body parts didn't kept showing up at the shore. It was only the torso which they later on verified it belonged to Kim Wall. Then they went out to look for the rest with divers and that dog as mentioned in the video.
@MissG852 жыл бұрын
Tak Nina. This detail really annoyed me also. The police did so much work in ensuring that ALL of Kim was brought home and could be laid to rest by her family. She certainly did not wash up on shore, but each part found in separate bags, weighed down by screws and tools, Madsen had brought with him for the purpose. It was planned. And the police spend any and all types of resources in finding her in the water. The torso gave them the right lead to where to look, because they could calculate the currents and correlate with the submarines travel path, and this way found out where he dumped it, and how it days later ended up on that shore, and where to then search with the water cadaver dogs for her other remains. It was amazing forensic police work, and shows how much effort Danish police puts in to, not only solving a case, but also respect the victim and their families.

I'm danish and here are some details from a danish documentary about the slaughter on the submarine. Madsen's ex-girlfriend said he was extremely abusive toward her and that he had a s3xual fetiche. He would force her to do s3x tapes and go to orgi3s. Just the day before the murder, he lost a local space race because his rocket was not 100% complete and that might have been the drop for him to commit the crime. (Say the investigators) At the time of the investigation, police found a hard drive full of snuff videos (I'm not going to specify what that is), and basically what he did to this poor woman was trying out what he had seen on the videos... He put some kind of metal rod through her, bottom all the way up to the neck, and after that, he cut her up so it would be easy for him to dispose of the body. The worst thing about this for me is that, when I was younger, Madsen was on some tv shows showing his "home build" submarine, he seemed so admirable, also because he built rockets. After his incarceration, he escaped prison by literally walking out the main gate... (talk about high-security prisons in Denmark...) and went to a nearby gas station where he stole some food. He was only caught because someone had called the police because he tried to steal food...
