😢 Hey Eyebahn it got me teary eyed as we have the same respect for our PEV, mine is Burn E2 (28ah OG) and iv been riding it for a year now in all weather especially here in Philippines it always rains and dis machine never failed me not even once, i treat it like a baby and always clean it , for now i don't have plans of letting dis go as i am super attached to it, the same way you feel on your Burn E much respect to your scoot, it is the legendary grandfather of the Nami line

Thanks for watching this video as well Elliot. I'm glad to hear that the Burn E2 is holidng up in the crazy rain there! I know people like to talk poorly about the scooter because they mistreat their things but, just like anything else, it will take care of you if you take care of it. Though I'm really sad that I had to let the Burn E go against my will, I'm happy that I'm still able to stay within the Nami Brand. I always wanted a Klima in addition to the Burn E because it's much more manageable in the city, so I'm really excited to get to know this scooter and make content around it. When we move out of this apartment in the future, I hope I'll be reunited with a Burn E variant and maybe by then I'll be an Ambassador of the brand!

@@eyebahnrides the Nami is my 2nd scooter , years before Nami came out in the market my personal choice is the Dualtron Spider 1 ( the improved version the one with the black button ) i super like it because it fits everything i want, super lightweight and yet super powerful, unfortunately what is stopping me from commuting with the Spider is the rain, i have to ride a bus or van commute when it rains, dat sutuation sucks as i live in a metro area where traffic is horrible, den came the Namin the market, dat time the Burn E OG is expensive, den came the much affordable Burn E2 dats what i afforded and until now i love it, it is always clean especially during my restdays at work 😍👌. The Nami brand is reliable EXCEPT THE NFC VARIANTS , man dat NFC is unreliable, plus Michael Sha ditched the night rider turn signal effect in favor of a rear light????? 😡 dat night rider effect is so iconic and it gone on the NFC versions , it makes me angry

Not many people « downgrade » from a 72v to a 60v. I wrote it « this way » because for me it’s not a downgrade. I went from a 72v to the Blast Max and I have absolutely no regret. The bigger/more powerful isn’t always the best. The Klima is probably one of the best all around scooters today. Very good torque, nimble, light and compact but stable. Just think it deserves a bigger battery but it’s more than enough for most people
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel! I agree with you. In the modern PEV world, there seems to be an arms race to see who can get the highest voltage, biggest ah, and highest output motor. But there are some instances where “downgrading” to something like the blast max makes more sense. The Klima is an incredible scooter and is actually perfect for city riding. It may even be a bit overkill for urban environments but it’s more than enough. I wish I could get 40ah out of it but the 30ah on the Max version has been holding up well. I can still spend a few days riding it without charging. But I do have to be mindful of the shorter range for the long rides since I was spoiled by the Burn E!

I use your reviews/opinions as the catalyst, since you've put so many miles on it in a complex, unpredictable urban setting & you've ridden such a great variety of PEVs. I'm appreciative of some of the hot-shot reviews where people have a scooter for a couple of days, test their limits then ship them back - they're not without merit, but what you're doing, which is living with these scooters long-term, is far more helpful. It takes only a few seconds to give us the generic details (dimensions, weight, top speed, est. range, price) but if I'm gonna spend ~$6k CDN on a Burn-E2 Max, I want to be sure I'm able to rely on it, to source parts, to get service support, to be able to change the tires myself, that warranties are honored [and that the owner isn't trying to silence people on Facebook from reporting broken stems, while he sneaks out a major fix for said stems], that they're continuing to improve the product with R&D, there are enough aftermarket parts, and that I can ride it in the rain. I'm constantly iterating between the Apollo Pro and the Burn-E2 Max, but mainly because Apollo seem much more focused on innovation. No comparing the performance of them, the Nami kills the Pro there, but the Pro is lighter, has better tires, is IP66 and has a much nicer throttle + regen braking, which I've come to love thanks to my '23 Phantom. The thumb throttle on the Burn-E2 seems a bit outdated. I'd be interested to know how you compare the Klima with the Apollo Pro - which seem to have the same performance/range expectations - but the Pro seems to be more future-proof. TBH, your experience with the Nami brand is the main reason I'm 75% in favor of the Burn-E2 Max being my next PEV. Don't get too emotional about that Burn-E, the way things are improving lately, I say an entire generation of PEV's are going to bring incredible innovation as soon as spring '24! Good luck with the Klima!
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video and I'm glad that they're helpful! I always try to approach my commentary on PEV's (even when I'm loaned one for a few days) through the lens of "how will this ride in the real world and what can we expect from it based on this first impression". Thats also why I'm hesitant to call my First Impressions Videos "reviews" because you can't give a full review of a product just by spending a few hours with it. With that said, I should probably start working on my Super73 long term review video lol. Good luck with the decision there. Regardless of which you choose, I think you'll have an amazing scooter that you can enjoy for years to come. Of course I'm a bit biased, but it's hard not to be when you had the overwhelmingly positive experience that I had! Yea, I've really been enjoying the Klima. I'm looking forward to eventually getting back into the "beast scooter" category when we move to a home or when I can get the channel to the point it can pay for a storage garage + sustain itself! For now we roll with the punches and make the best of it. I'm also really excited to make videos with the Klima! It's literally perfect for my urban riders like me (minus the brake sensor corrections we've had to do).

I'd say if your Klima is new and out of the box, I'd hope fluidd replaced the base brake sensors for ya since there were bugs with it. Had to experience those glitches the hard way due to being locked into a sudden hard brake (without me ) while going at 34 MPH. I'm thankful the suspension and braking was smooth atleast. Outside that mishap, the scooter was def a nice feeling upgrade from my Emove Cruiser. I'm still a bit concerned about driving it in the rain, but it seems pretty durable. Edit: Ohh! It is literally out of the box! But yeah, do check in on that if it hasn't been already. The newer sensors as far as I know doesn't lock up anymore.
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching this video as well Dee! It's a first gen Klima Max out of the box. I wanted the first gen because I don't like the tail light on the gen 2. I've been aware of the brake sensor issue that plagued this first gen so I made sure that we replaced the sensor and corrected the issue before I left the shop. I did multiple hard stops to bed the brakes while they tuned the brake sensor. I'm the process of dialing in the p settings/ suspension now and have done about 50 miles of highspeed commuting and haven't had the sensor go off ( thank goodness!). As long as you dry off the scooter properly and do post rain checks you'll be ok! I've literally ridden my Burn E through heavy rain and light snow ( I wont ride through ice or flooding), and it kept on going. I plan to use the Klima as a daily driver in all weather conditions just like my burn e!

@eyebahnrides10 ай бұрын
Thanks for joining us on the last ride and welcome to the channel! I'll probably make a video on this in the future but to sum it up it's actually quite easy. 1. I usually charge the scooter up to 80% and I only charge it when it gets around 20%. The exceptions are I charge to 100% for group ride days. Also, I've never let the battery die. 2. I store the scooter/ battery in my apartment which is temperature controlled and I never expose the battery to extreme heat and cold for extended periods of time. 3. I follow the charging protocol for the scooter (plug in to scooter then plug into wall) to prevent any arching or discharge 4. I was told by my mechanic to let the battery rest after usage so I wait about an hour after after a ride to charge the scooter. 5. Finally, I ask my mechanic at FFR to inspect it every time we do a tune up to make sure that nothing that nothing is out of place with the battery. This is about every 500 miles. I live in an apartment building with my wife and the last thing I want to do is endanger my family and my neighbors so I've always taken extra care of my battery. I hope this helps!

whats moree fun to ride the burn e or the Klima? Thanks (I think Klima)
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Both are fun in very different ways. The klima is more nimble and easy to control in tight situations while the Burn E is much more comfortable and have better pull at higher speeds. As for overall fun, I find them both really enjoyable to ride. I've always been a huge fan of the Klima

Thanks for watching! I can't believe it either lol. I wish I got to part with my Burn E on my own terms or have both the Burn E and the Klima but we gotta work with what I'm given until I move out of my current building. Honestly, both are incredible scooters! I've been having as much fun on the Klima as I did with the Burn E.

hahaha thanks for watching Juan! I'm still upset that I had to do this against my will because of my building. It's annoying but it's better than an all out ban! I'm excited to do some rides with the Klima because it's been so much fun the last week

Sad to see the Burn e go. It's how I found your channel. Why does your building not allow it but allow the Klima? I had a feeling you would get a Klima :) I look forward to your new adventures!

Thanks for watching the video! It's definitely sad to see it go but I'm excited to get to know the Klima. I've been having such a good time with it so far lol. The Klima is ok because it's more in line with what's "legally acceptable for size and weight" and that's inspiring the guidelines in my building
@Dissentient Жыл бұрын
@@eyebahnrides I'm looking forward to your new videos. Burn e or no Burn e, your videos are awesome. I love seeing other places around the world, NYC is fascinating! And you're super-chill which is perfect. I think you'll really love the Klima.

Have your apartments decided on the ban of lithium ion batteries? I love riding my scooters and electric bikes. I live in Texas and there's not a whole lot of places near me to ride them but the cops are picky on my scooters. They don't necessarily care about the E bikes tho.
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Drum Wiz. Its not a ban but they are monitoring the size, weight, and battery type. Some buildings in the city, both residential and commercial, have started banning them. Thankfully my work building and home are ok with it! The cops here only really go after the mopeds, the giant standup escooters like the wolves, surrons, EUCs, and electric skateboards. It's pretty ridiculous because there are plenty of serious crimes that they could be stopping instead of wasting our tax dollars on a electric taskforce. Most cops are pretty cool but you'll run into those horrible ones every now and then.
@drumwiz522 Жыл бұрын
@@eyebahnrides Here, the cops will get you if you're riding on a road over 35 mph, which in my neighborhood is ALL of the damn roads.. but that's only on the scooter. My actbest bike they don't care about. Legally can only go 20 mph but on the bike they don't monitor as long as you're pedaling, up to 28mph. No throttle at that speed tho, only PAS.

Did you used to own Burn E or Burn E 2 Max?

I had one of the original 35ah Burn E. The E2 max came out about a year and half after I purchased my scooter

Unless Nami ever use a regenerative brake throttle, I will never consider owning one. I never need my disc brakes on my Phantom…ever.
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Regen/ Motor Braking is a setting that can be controlled through Psettings on all Namis. Most Nami owners keep it as low as possible but I personally run it between 3 to 5 out of 5 depending on the mode. That’s why I tend to go through brake pads every 700-1000 miles. I only rely on the brakes when I’m riding aggressively. For the most part I rely on regen
@RaiderNation-North Жыл бұрын
@@eyebahnridesyes regen thru pulling brake handles, phantom has a regen thumb throttle that eliminates the use of brake handles altogether. It’s driving and braking using thumbs only.
@RaiderNation-North Жыл бұрын
@@eyebahnridesApollo sent 2 sets of brake pads in the box when the phantom arrived which is weird seeing as many people may never wear out the pads that came with the scooter. I would have rather they sent off-road tires instead.
