It’s been my toughest decision as well. Horizon has done me well in past then started all sort of unnecessary rules. Which costed me money , added extra anxiety and destroyed my moral !! I had 6 trucks now down to 2. With only 1 truck currently earning a small profit Horizon sent me my farewell letter on 1 of my trucks last week and once my driver is tired they’ll be sending me another farewell letter on that truck

I was pulling for pinnacle until the end of July last year. When the bottom dropped out. I waited till the beginning of September and I got a gooseneck trailer and got into hotshot. Best decision I ever made. I have watched you and c farmer for a while now, and yall were the reason I got into rv hauling. Are you gonna keep making videos? Be safe out there bro.

I worked for a City as a mechanic (now retired). We (the mechanics) were required to have a Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements. The City had a fuel truck, 5 & 10 yard dump trucks, large trailers, fire trucks etc all of which we drove and maintained. When we would arrive at work there might be an envelope on our tool box that said that we were to immediately report for a drug test (this was very random). Our procedure was to take a City owned vehicle to the local clinic and wait until we were called back for a sample. After that we would simply return to our normal job. I never minded doing this and in fact considered time away from work. We were paid just the same as always for the time we spent getting the test. I say get a civil service job, go to work do your job for 15 to 20 years then retire and then decide if you want to do RV transport.

@@mr.tennessee I started at the city at 36 years old. The trick to getting a civil service job is patience and perseverance. The fact that you have a CDL is great. There are many departments that may have job openings from Parks to Waste Water. Don’t be too concerned if the qualifications lists are overwhelming they know that no one is going to have all of them. Go for it👍

Hey, it's Chris from Virginia. Heard you talking about your rear pinon seal. I did one on my truck about a year ago from Napa it came with some sealant already on it where it goes into the housing so I figured that would be good, well it wasn't good. So, I got to do it again. The pinon seal didn't leak anymore but it leaked where it slid into the housing. I know you'll figure out what you're going to do. Wouldn't it be nice if all the RV hauling guys could go strike for two weeks. Everyone would be amazed how quick those rates would increase. I think you undervalue yourself. Your driving ability and your know how is worth a lot more than what their paying you per mile. Hope you and the family are doing good.

Look around for a hot shot trailer with mega ramps , or get a 3 car trailer and haul cars, your in a good lane area for auto transport..

I had the same code on my 2020 ram. And I belive I figured it out. When I changed my air filter I used a filter with the glue strips on filter. Well I changed filter with one the dosent have the glue strip and engine light went off. Don't know if this will help you or not , just thought I'd share.

@ATC Traveler is right try to get away from these worthless brokers. They do nothing and make money. Go to some local manufacturers like he said. I've been on the other end trying to get things hauled when we moved across country, and it was hard to find a reliable person to get it done. These guys would show up with no tools, no hitch, no spares, no mechanical ability, no compressor, no jumper box and I was forced to use them. Now I did get one really good guy off of KZbin to haul something. I made his check engine light come on.

I have a 2022 ram tradesman long bed almost 150k and haven’t had one problem with it. I would go trade blue in and cut your losses maybe you just got a bad one. Get a tradesman long bed you wouldn’t be disappointed the ride is even better than a short bed.

I would check a couple things on blue I’m not sure what brand air filter you use but I would go to Walmart and buy a fram filter part number for my 2022 is 10261. I would also pull off the map sensor and see how dirty it is and either clean or replace it. Thought this might help cheap and easy to try.

If you go get CDL dump truck drivers seem to be in high demand. That’s what I’m doing. When this industry comes back I’ll give it a shot for summer months. This job requires at least 20k bank roll for ups downs, slow times.
