Nice save on that uphill one hander! sorry if i was yelling incessantly behind you. I could feel the heat from Chris behind me! Didn't know it was you till i was about to pass. Nice riding, that pass on the gnarly hill at the end was awesome, great line. Glad to hear Adam was alright, i was wondering what happened to him. Also, my wife loves your videos. One of the few dirt bike videos she enjoys and says you do an excellent job. Hope to see you next year!

Dude! Not at all! I know it can be frustrating trying to pass people in narrow spots. You weren't overly aggressive in the slightest. I honestly just felt bad I couldn't get over quicker lol. I hope to make it to the banquet and look forward to seeing you there. Cheers brother, and congrats on an excellent season. Looks like I might not be racing with you next year if you move up

Steg Pegz really help with arm pump and/or previous injuries (like bad knees or shoulders). Worth the investment imo

I live in East Tennessee so I’m familiar with the type of trail you are racing on but you’re doing a good job and it’s just the camera doesn’t show the reality of how rough those trails can get .
@ThomperBeThompin2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, John, I appreciate it. You're right, the camera never comes close to showing how rough the terrain is nor how steep the hills are. Riding in eastern Tennessee must be beautiful - been through that area a few times in a car.

Tell your bro to get some high temp brake fluid… but is he dragging his front brake? Or maybe the front piston is “slightly” seized where is apply a little bit of drag and gets things super hot which cause the fluid to expand and apply even more brake pressure…
@ThomperBeThompin2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the pointers. Will definitely take a close look at the piston. He is pretty heavy on the front brake during these races (but I am too)

@@ThomperBeThompin funny you said that, I noticed in your videos you are coasting up to the corners. I suggest making a video of you practicing going around 2 trees on your property during the off season. Next year you're not a beginner.

Hey, so you like the 300xc better than the 350xcf? Easier to ride?
@ThomperBeThompin Жыл бұрын
It's hard to say. I think the 300 was easier in slower technical terrain, but the 350 is easier in faster choppy terrain.

Good riding. My son and I enjoy your videos after each race. I struggled a bit with this one. I'm still trying to learn the tight stuff and have zero motocross/jump experience. I was wondering what made you decide to leave the 300 two-stroke and go with the 350 four stroke? Are you liking the decision and what are some pros and cons you have found so far with each?
@ThomperBeThompin2 жыл бұрын
Brian! Great season, man. You crushed it out there. What a great year. There are several reasons I made the switch to a four stroke - most predominantly having nothing to do with the engine! The 300 I have is the XC-W, so it has the lower 1st and 2nd gear and the ultraplush suspension. There was an awkward gap between 2nd and 3rd gear that I didn't like and I really wanted a stiffer suspension setup. Additionally, I just wanted to try the four stroke out for its "linear power delivery". I kept hearing about that and all the National Enduro Series pros (Stu and Grant Baylor, Ben Kelley, Toth, Etc) all run 4-strokes, so I thought there had to be something I was missing. Then again, there are guys and gals on both engines that fly by me every race, so I don't really know what I'm talking about lol. No regrets so far. Took a minute to get used to the engine braking and the lurchy power delivery off idle. I feel way more confident jumping, blasting through fast choppy stuff, and all that, but less confident in the really tighter, slower stuff.

I was wondering how much gas do you have left after this race??
@ThomperBeThompin2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. I can easily go 2 hrs of racing on a single tank. Haven't measured how much used in a 1.5 hr race yet
