The little machine they used is cheap and easily available because it's used in physical therapy and such. It contracts muscles with tiny electric shocks, and when placed in the correct locations it simulates the muscle contractions behind both period pain and labor contractions. They could very well have faked it so their friend didn't have to be in pain, but since I have no evidence of that I didn't assume.

It’s very common to wax certain areas in that hospital bed and it’s actually more hygienic. Here in brazil it’s like that in every place that does waxing. But if you’re only doing other easier areas, like eyebrows and face, places that require closer proximity, just a reclining chair is pretty ok.

The trick bottles are uncomfortable plus the shards can go into the eyes or scratch your face/ skin. So while it’s not painful like getting his with a real bottle, it can harm and create issues.

That's very true. I just think about the kids who aren't in on the joke. I don't think that I would inherently know that the bottle isn't real if I was an 8 year old watching this. I would probably think smashing a bottle wouldn't be too harmful based on the context of the video.
