That pineapple meat thing is so fake. You can see the pork was taken out, cooked separately and then inserted back in the pineapple monstrosity. If it would've stayed in the oven all the way through, the bacon would've been burned by the time the pork was cooked and the pork wouldn't have had that "crispy" outer layer (it would've looked almost like boiled meat because of all the pineapple moisture)

So.....hear me out. I think this is someone who genuinely knows how to cook. Like- she put the thyme into the chicken before the onions, she pairs flavors that should go together, and she constantly put meat inside fruit so it would be juicy. She made a good dry rub too. To me, this looks like someone who wanted to make real cooking videos but realized that hate watching would get more interaction.

As someone who has been cooking their whole life and was a chef, most pumpkins that you can buy commercially are absolutely DEMONIC to eat. Like, they have the sketchiest flavour! Store-bought frosting is oil-based, meaning it cannot dissolve into water or milk. It also means that it will separate under high heat. Once in the oven, the sugar would caramelize and cooked to the glass, but the oil would seep around the cake batter and make it come out looking like a pepperoni pizza... or a weed brownie. That's why the cake they show at the end is 2 layers of chocolate batter and doesn't have any icing on the bottom of the cake pan. Instead, I would use a ceramic or metal pan (NOT GLASS ¡¡¡muy importante!!!) and cook a thick caramel-flavored sauce out of condensed milk, powdered sugar (or cornstarch) and almond flour, cool to room temp, add Reese's, refrigerate it until set, dust with a thin but even layer of almond flour and chopped peanuts, then add the cake batter. That should produce the effect she claims in the video, though I think a poke cake with an uncooked mixture made from peanut butter and condensed milk would be better.

Yeah I think the 'mixing everything on the countertop with bare hands' WAS originally fetish content. Then other creators saw how good the engagement was as outrage content, found other ways to cook things wrong to make theirs unique, but kept the general 'style' of video as part of the success algorithm.

here's the thing is that some of these recipes aren't even bad conceptually, like they're not bad flavor combos, it's just the way that they're executed (and the need to cook everything at once) is so impractical. i would honestly love to see someone make a series (if it doesn't exist already) of taking these types of outrage recipes and upgrading them/making them into something that would actually taste good & is cooked properly.

Especially that mf cake!! Get rid of the whole fucking can of icing at the bottom, crush the Reese’s, sprinkle them on top of the cake instead, and you have a pretty fuckin tasty cake. Chocolate cake with vanilla icing and Reese’s sounds so good but these videos tend to use too much of everything, which is just distressing when it comes to desserts. Sugar is something that can so easily be too much to handle.

My theory is that she is a good cook, or her friend is a good cook because you can see hints of it in each dish. They wanted to go to social media with their food but did not get enough clout and noticed that these outrage channels were getting tons of views and tried that, and it worked for them. The reason the meat looks fully cooked each time is because they take it all apart and cook each part separate except for the pumpkin one.
