LaLa2time She shook hands after the game, I watched it on my tv. Caitlin got blindsided while catching up to the team, and had the wind knocked out of her by the person who wasn't expecting the collision either. She was helped to the locker room by security. The video is on here.

As a Hawkeye fan, it sucked to lose, but our team is doing well, Ohio State is a very good team, so congrats to OSU for a hard fought victory. I wish our players could have had the chance to get off the floor before fans stormed the floor because Caitlin got blindsided by someone, it took her down, but only knocked the wind out of her. It wasn't malicious, and thankfully there was a security guard and another person who personally helped her up and took her to the locker room. Thank you for that.

@@michaelkolacz4449 I agree. At home games she knows what to expect because so many people are gravitating TOWARDS her, but there is security to keep her from being mobbed. Away games need to have some of their security closer to her until she is able to get to the locker room. I'm sure she had plenty of things on her mind when the collision happened and the other person had their mind set on something. Neither saw the other until they hit. It happens with cars every day. It's just a great thing that nobody was hurt.

Ohio State played great. They hit 11 of 22 three point shots. 50%... much better than normal. Sheldon was good. Shots didn't fall late for Iowa... happens sometimes

Lmao you must not have watched the video clearly….Caitlin saw the girl, was paying attention, and could’ve easily have moved over a bit. Yes the girl should’ve been more careful and paying attention with where she was going since she was on her phone but it was an accident, and she didn’t even see Caitlin running in her direction. It was 100% an accident however….Caitlin was being a bit dramatic about it in the press conference afterwards. I mean how is it that both girls fell yet the girl who Caitlin knocked into was able to get up completely fine, and Caitlin was still on the floor acting like she got shot? While I love Caitlin…..she was being a bit dramatic in that and they should both apologize to each other.

If she can dish it out, then she should be able to take it. I thought it was inappropriate waving off the SC player in final 4, and a previous game this year where she shoved player to floor. No foul. She did it twice in Ohio State game today. No foul. How did refs miss it?

@david, I think you meant Stuelke. She reinjured her ankle is what I believe happened because after she went down, she was slow to get back up, and she wasn't moving like normal. They were just so tight the entire game. I thought if they did have any collisions, they would have just shattered from it all. I'm glad for the loss. They can relax and start working hard again today.

How is Ohio state ranked 18th? Obviously they are gonna move way up but coming into the game they were 14-3 5-1 in the very good B1G. Not to mention they made the elite 8 last year and bring the whole dam team back. Ohio state is easily a top 6 to 8 team. They should have been ranked well within the top 10 coming into the game.

@Justin They're going to move up, and I'm curious to see how far because I saw a little while ago that 3 top 15 teams lost yesterday. I don't think Iowa will fall very far, but OSU will def. move up. They were sharp, especially when the stopped the full court press because Iowa was breaking through it without a lot of difficulty. Once they changed their defense, I think Iowa was lost. It just wasn't their day.

Caitlin dropped either 2 or 3 3's in the first few minutes but then she went cold. Usually she misses them early, but before halftime, she usually has them falling the rest of the game. Yesterday was not Iowa's day, and OSU is a great team. I'm not sure I'm ready to play them again but they're on our schedule just before the B1G tournament starts. Who knows how that will turn out. When the NCAA tournament starts, it can be crazy when top teams get knocked out.
