Hey thanks 😊 just do as much as you can! Applications open around September time so the more you have ready, the quicker you can get onto the system and placed! Make an application video, write out your skills in a word doc so you can just copy and paste it in. If you don’t have childcare experience then go try and do a bit of volunteering with kids, youth centres are good. There’ll be a bunch of summer clubs for kids you could probably help out on! Hope that helps 🤙

This helped so much, I'm going to camp myself this June for the first time and can not wait! Also how much do you think is a good amount to budget for after camp travel?

Hey! Thank you :) I spent about £1500 my first summer, but we road tripped from Cali to Florida, so all the way across! We rented cars, and stayed in motels and did a lot! So depends on how much travel you want to do after camp! I'd say just take as much as you can save, and then you have it if you need it! Have an amazing summer!

Going to camp next year... do you get to choose where you get placed? Cause I'm really hoping to be in california by the way your videos are so helpful.

Hey thanks 😊 the only way to kind of choose which camp is to go to a recruitment fair! These happen in November and then again in February. They’ll post a list of camps that are coming and you come along on the day and interview with the ones you like and you can get hired on the spot. So you could go through and find any in California and go to those camps at the fair!
