I’m dealing with the folding table issue right now with it in the bed of my ‘21 Ram Rebel. I also like the full height rack idea with the roof rack for building materials. Keep us posted on that rack!

Yes on retractable side steps. Wife and 4 year old would not be able to get in without them. Also helps when we have visitors.
@trevorschroeder67452 ай бұрын
For the biker bracket to mount to bedrack to hold bike tray should make aluminum so it doesn’t rust and see if you can get it to be flipped the other way so that it’s closer to the truck so that you keep the bike down low for center of gravity so the bikes not so far up would be great
@esaigarcia67413 ай бұрын
Definitely recommend the amp research step for everyday driving, BUT road grim would mess with then from time to time. The pivot pins will get stuck and stop the step from cycling correctly. Only have come across that issue once done here in Texas. Your mileage may vary

I love the DIY adjustable rack systems... sometimes really long stuff has too much overhang up front... I built a 1" steel square tubing frame that litterally folded out/over to the front bumper and had an adjustable support leg that sat in a cutout area in my front bumper so it didn't bounce. nothing like a heavy duty ranger with space for 16' of things on top.
@LastLineOfDefense3 ай бұрын
Yeah that sounds like a nice add-on if you're hauling long items often!
@Sboverland33 ай бұрын
Amp research steps are ok, they do get filled with dirt and grime and snow and ice and get stuck up or down so they are high maintenance, just something to keep in mind.
@ChadChinchilla3 ай бұрын
I had rockslide engineering retractable steps / rock sliders on the gladiator. On the east coast, with salt and snow it kinda affected them and they wouldn't close all the way. Just make sure with power steps they are corrosive resistant for that type of weather

You mentioned that you can still open the Diamondback with the rack on and tent off, but it looks like the table mounting bracket would limit that functionality even with the table out. Is that correct?
@LastLineOfDefense3 ай бұрын
I'll actually have to test with the table. Due to the pivot point of the cover, it may still open.

Do you regret settling for a platnium instead of a TRD off road??
@LastLineOfDefense3 ай бұрын
For the Tundras, Platinum is a trim level and TRD OR is a package - Platinum is amazing, no regrets there. I wish I had added the TRD OR package, but again since this truck isn't mainly a trail rig, it's not a huge loss for how I use it.

BS on MPGS. Not with that set up.
@LastLineOfDefense8 күн бұрын
Idk why people think I lie about MPGs, I have literally no reason to.
@MarkMeans-ij4nl8 күн бұрын
@ man it’s a credibility issue. Absolutely no way you get 13-15 mpg with that load and those tires. I had a 22 tundra and currently have a 24 tundra. Toyota is notorious for inaccurate mpgs with 32” tires. To continue that misnomer as if your specific truck has something special over other tundras of similar years is unauthentic. Everyone has that acquaintance that adds just enough to their stories to lose their credibility. Not a big deal but your mpg are more like 10-11 average.
@LastLineOfDefense4 күн бұрын
My truck has nothing special. I look at the MPGs that the screen tells me - it's pretty simple. Again, very literally no reason to look at my MPGs on the screen, and then say they are something different, haha. What's to gain?
