Couple of real world comments. You aren’t going to be carrying water in 5 gal Home Depot type buckets. It is hard as hell. I got the set of 6, 3 gallon water jugs from Sagen. In an SHTF scenario, I would dedicate 2 to dirty for transporting dirty water. Make sure you can pull water from your well sans power. It is a PITA but doable. I have a countertop RO filter I can run off solar. Have a lot of cartridges. Rainwater from your roof is less safe than most water. Bird poop, etc. be careful with rainwater collection and have a good plan to filter it. An electric / solar dirtbike or similar would be great for collecting water. 21:47 A windmill may be a good aux system for when it is overcast. As my mom, who has one of those off grid Earthshil houses in NM, says “it’s always sunny here, but when it isn’t it is windy. “

33:55 yes, you can remove the middle seat from the non-Platinum Sequoias. Just be careful to remove the seat straight forward so that the metal bracket doesn't tear the adjacent fabric.

24 TRD Sport Owner here. Also 600ish miles on my brand new truck. One thing I noticed right off the bat is that I was getting TERRIBLE gas milage using the fuel that came with the vehicle, we're talking 16 MPG completely stock (Non-Hybrid motor, stock wheels). After filling up with fresh gas, I was easily getting 20MPG. So not sure if that might have contributed to the odd MPGs initially but thought I'd share! Sweet Truck btw..

I had to put my 14 year old dog down in January. It still chokes me up and brings tears to my eyes. I was unemployed at the time and went golfing with my dad. Came home and he was spazzing out. Was really weird but he was having bad hip and walking issues before, so I thought it was something like that. It seemed to only get worse. Our best guess is that he had a stroke. We struggled to find someone that would come to the house to put him down, but we're so glad we did. He was able to go comfortably, laying in his bed, in his house, surrounded by his people. And now I'm crying again... I'm so sorry Mike. I know your pain all too well. They say it gets better. I'm still waiting to find that out for myself. 2024 has truly been a terrible year as far as I'm concerned.

To sell your FIRST house and cash out 100-200k, then to sell your second and make 300k is WILD to me. That’s like genius level real estate mixed with extreme luck 😂
