I had a 1984, '87, '91, and a 1993 land cruiser j series. The '84 was shit brown, light shit brown interior, factory ol man lift, 4 speed manual with locking hubs. Loved that vehicle. Sold to uncle when I needed fuel mileage for travel. We fell out of good graces and vehicle is likely gone forever. I still look for one similar but now everyone knows what they are. Lock in the 4 wheel drive and you could drive however aggressive you wanted in snow, mud, ice and if it did ever get loose you just picked your foot up a little and it was on track. We bought into the family when I was still in grade school. My older brother and I both learned to drive it before we had a license. Until the month of our driver's test it's the only vehicle my dad let us drive. I am thankful for that. My brother drove it for his first year. I drove it the first year and second. Then my dad sold it. He and I ended up rebuilding a '72 K5 blazer my senior year. I drove a Honda prelude with a stick as my main vehicle until the snow came and switched to the land cruiser for hunting trips and then the winter. Worked my tail off to own my own car, pay the insurance, gas it, fix it...hope this isn't lost today. Thank you for your service and enjoy that Cruiser!!!

I'm a Po' Boy. My EDC reflects that. I carry an old Barlow pocket knife, and I use it more than anything else. I have a Carabiner key organizer/multi tool that I found online for like $6, thing works great. A $20 rechargeable "tactical" flashlight, also found online, it's an awesome light for what it is and what it cost. A Cold Steel push dagger (probably the most expensive thing besides my revolver, I think it was about $30) A pair of vintage brass knuckles that I traded an old KBAR for, I wrapped the palm support in Paracord. Then there is my Taurus 856 Snubbie. Matte Stainless. I tote it in a Spartan Tactical OWB Kydex holster. Keep a Bianchi speed strip in my back pocket. And of course I keep a few Banditos or Ugly Coyote cheroot cigars on me 😉.

They could end you assuming that they didn't retire with a bunch of injuries or become tired and out of shape. I have never met any SEALs but have known more than a few Army Rangers and Airborne soldiers that were fit and badass when they were young but now they are older, out of shape and have bad knees or shoulders due to all the physical stuff they did in the service. It happens to most serious athletes as they age and doesn't take anything away from what they did when they were young.

There are at least 100x the amount of people who have trained to proficiently use a gun in self defense than there are those who can use a knife in self defense. The firearm is a far, far better defensive weapon. I do think pepper spray is a great non lethal option to combo with carrying a gun though.
@redfaux74 Жыл бұрын
@@LastLineOfDefense - No argument here. I also carry heat everywhere. In my state I can carry anything. I have around 45 rounds ready at all times and more in my vehicle bag. I shoot paper and clays, minimum once a week. But a good dedicated knife is a necessity in my opinion. Both of mine are thumb stud to open with 1 hand. Good video.

That Ares watch interested me and they are described as affordable so I thought cool, $500 to $1000 at the high end right? I'd be interested in that price range. But hell no, the page I saw listed it as just shy of $2700. I realize in a world where Rolex's exist that $2700 isn't a lot but that's still hardly affordable to the average joe.

Funny, I binged Terminal List and immediately recognized the Winkler 'hawks on his wall. I have one of their knives, but I haven't pulled the trigger on the 'hawk yet. I have a number of hand forged 'hawks from H&B Forge, but in reality if I'm picking one survival 'hawk, as great as H&B is, I don't want to worry about rough use causing the handle coming loose or having to make a new one when there's no time to do so. One of these days I'll stop buying ammo (or the f'n expensive Sig mags) and splurge for a WInkler 'hawk.
