RRTS can change the way people travel in NCR but it is only possible if NCRTC reduces the fare. I mean it is almost double as compared to metro & other transport systems. Cost is a major factor for the common man. The main reason which I can understand behind costing of ticket price is that NCRTC does not want that a simple common man whose monthly income is let's say around 15-20k should not travel with RRTS. I mean such people can't afford it they will try to save 2-3k bucks extra at the end and will not use RRTS.

I think it's their plan only they do not want public to completely stop using other transport such as busses and trains,they are focusing more on daily personal vehicle travellers,only ridership after the whole corridor will tell if they are willing to reduce price,but they maybe cap the max price at 120-150just like Delhi Metro.

We people of UP stand firm with our meerut brothers.. 👉 CD Deshmukh of Maharashtra looted Uttar Pradesh for last 55 years and diverted our funds to MH. 👉 TT Krishnamachari imposed freight equilisation act and developed South India and Maharashtra. UP is the far larger economy than states like Karnataka and we are not bankrupt like Kerala.. our state UP and my brother of Meerut deserve development. ❤❤❤

The RRTS project is deeply disappointing due to its enormous costs and limited practicality. Despite the significant investment, it primarily benefits a small segment of the population, leaving many areas underserved. Land acquisition has caused disruptions, and high ticket prices may prevent many from using the service. More practical alternatives, like extending the Delhi Metro or creating a Ghaziabad-Meerut Metro line, could have been implemented at a much lower cost, avoiding these complications. Even more frustrating, the BJP government, under Prime Minister Modi, inaugurated the incomplete RRTS project, seemingly for political gain ahead of elections. It feels like a rushed move to show progress, despite the ongoing disruptions and delays. This focus on optics rather than delivering real, functional solutions only adds to the disappointment, especially for those who experience the daily disruptions and delays firsthand. I see daily that it's still not completed, adding to the frustration of seeing a half-finished project being showcased.

the actual project deadline is in june 2025 i think . the project was opened in sections . whats the problem in that ? all such major projects including the delhi metro have always opened in sections . its nothing new. the ticket prices can be reduced in the future to augment more passenger traffic. one needs a faster line to connect delhi with meerut via ghaziabad . normal metros running at 80ks with multiple stops wont cut the ice . thats the whole point of a faster regional rail system.
