The JP comment about the man who can use a sword but knows when to keep it sheathed is a quote from the past that he's using metaphorically. The idea is that a truly strong man isn't violent and uncontrollable, but rather capable but tempered. Someone that can control his emotions but capable of violence when forced to step up or rather be able to de-escalate a situation because he is capable of violence and therefore must be respected by agitators.

the dude is so dumb and a liar. He showed two articles one where you can only see the introductory summary and the second that you can see some lines. Many studies on trans people have shown that the overwhelming majority of trans people still have suicidal thoughts, depression and anxiety. The thing is studies that want to defend the idea of transitioning from being usually subsidized by institutions that profit from doing so will argue that those people are still depressed because of society transphobia. If you look at the evidence logically we cannot come to a conclusion because it's very difficult what specifically is making people still depressed after. This dude claims peterson is either dumb or has made no research even though the only research he has done is a summary from one study and 2 articles. I've read dozens of articles on this and the data is super contradictory. You can find samples of people that improved their life after transitioning and samples where people got worst and committed suicide. The reasons can be varied. If you transition to a women you can became happier not because you are now in the "correct" body but because people tend to be nicer to women and pay more attention to them and that may be the thing that you needed to be happier. Or you may have became more depressed because you feel the same feelings and transitioning didn't solved anything. We don't know this answers, but this dudes cherry pick one sentence of one study and claims others don't do research...

Peterson's comment at 3:52 is valid and not a false dichotomy. He is referring to the left's and main stream opinion that basically any behavioral difference (gender) between men and women is socially constucted (discrimination, upbringing etc.) and biology is ignored. But when the same group is asked about gender in transgender persons, they'll state that this is biologically determined. Even though the biological underpinnings of gender are much stronger than that of being transgender. Peterson is quite right in pointing out the hypocrisy.

@@marekb1556 He flashed one study from 2015 that only included trans people that got gender affirming surgeries at least 2 years prior, so in 2013 and before. Since then there has been an explosion in the number of surgeries carried out and the demographic of patients is quite different as well, which is clearly due to social contagion after the topic took over parts of public discourse and promoted it far beyond what it was in 2013. Even assuming the same findings are correct today, or that they were even correct at the time, since you should always raise some doubt about studies based on self-reporting alone, and in general about studies tbh, does the fact that a treatment is somewhat effective at diminishing the effects of a mental illness, prove that it is the best treatment for said mental illness? Or does it justify us somehow in promoting and advertising the actual mental illness itself as a normal healthy thing which everyone can take upon themselves? 'Look, a study that shows this treatment makes people with anorexia want to kill themselves less. It means it's morally right for us to spread anorexia as far and wide as we can, let's never stop talking about it, let's paint the school walls with flags dedicated to anorexia, let's try to abolish not having anorexia! After all, anorexic people are stigmatized, so we're fighting for minority rights really. Why don't you want to accept some people are anorexic and that's a good thing, not everyone has to be cis-digestive, you bigot.'

There is 100% a home bugulary idealization where a guy can use his weapon to kill someone while also being heroic, masculine and completely justified. It would be like a certification against a lot of deep insecurities we have as men. Also kind of feels like when you have a hammer everything is a nail type thing like I have guns the best person to shoot would be some malevolent criminal coming to harm you. That being said if someone broke into my house I'd be so beside myself that my wife was at risk I'd want to shoot the person. For some reason even just thinking about family or close friends being put in harm's way always brought up some primal rage. It's like peace and love but when you violate that space you become the enemy and I think people can become irrational behind ruminating on that idea. I definitely know people that would dig the idea of securing choke points in their house like someone is gonna cap the flag.

When you know the stats for trained marksmen missing, like cops in a shootout, you appreciate how much worse a home defender likely is. And furthermore, people will get caught up in the fantasy, and get shot through a door, because MAN! If a can is labelled "tomato soup" in the supermarket, you buy it based on the assumption that it contains tomato soup because of what it says on the label. Can't imagine many adults listening to these them and not thinking they are a joke. I also fully expect that most of their audience will cycle out as they grow up. I work at a university and regularly interact with college age students. For the past few years, have seen a consistent pattern where a decent chunk of freshmen guys are all about people like Rogan, Peterson, and now the red pill crowd (though I will say none of these people come close to Rogan at his peak in terms of popularity). i might be talking out of my ass or misremembering but i think you are right on why women out earning men can be an issue in relationships, i believe it was notsoerudite that brought this up about when she either did couples counceling or when she was reading about it. When a women out earns the men its not the women that has an issue with it and having it causing friction in the relationship, its the men that have an issue with it. Which kinda makes sense with feminism pushing women into the workforce and being more encouraged to get a succesfull career it makes sense that for them that its no issue or even a good thing when they are earning the same or more than a man. But with men (especially in these manosphere spaces) they are still being encouraged to be the breadwinner, the provider the "man of the house" so if the women is earning more it can make a man feel like they are failing, like they are less of a man even if the man is already working his ass off 40+ hours every week and with the combined income the financials are sorted of even great, they still can feel that pressure like they are supposed to do more financially when there is no need to.

You're a leftie with no benzo excuses for YOUR brain rot my friend Peterson can be a crazy old braindead right-winger & spout nonsense same as you and same as any doctor who doesn't believe in COVID vaccines & guess what? You're still the least knowledgeable person in the room, even if they're wrong, Noah. That's why Peterson can be wrong and draw more ppl to his side than Noah can: because Noah is more smug while knowing less than what he's talking about than even brain-damaged-from-Benzo-popping Jordan Peterson No wonder Vaush absolutely bent you over, Noah

That must be why his own lawyers 🤨'd at him when he said he didn't care about what outcome came from him suing her, he just wanted to ruin her life as much as possible It's an interesting strategy: gaslight & bully centrists into becoming right-wingers & then act like no centrists exist, only right-wingers Quite a large bunch of fake "liberals" we got, over here on the left side of the center. Not a spine to be found, though.

I tend to try to engage with what people mean by the meaning the imbue words and concepts with. In my experience, people rarely have that engagement with what they, and especially others, are saying. It makes having conversations with people really difficult since they are not often interested in that level of interaction. For me, it makes lefty conversations and content incredibly difficult because they refuse to have those interactions with others and I know they are intelligent enough to. Often a lefty will ascribe wrongness to you because you are not having a conversation in the conceptual frame they choose to. The awkward mocking tone many assume seems to come from deliberately interpreting things in one context while criticizing in the opposite.

You're giving the person to who you should be trying to explain the truth a mental hurdle to jump over that requires enough strength to see past bitchiness just for the small, Mean Girls-type satisfaction that being a cunt gives. Because this is a YT video, he could say it's for the sake of comedy, but again, that type of comedy can only be supported by people who already agree with you or people who can't find the same takes from someone who isn't being a bitch

I feel like you can explain housework differences between men and women with two things. Difference in expectations. Poor communication. As a guy, comparing myself to my sister/mother, I just have a difference in standard when it comes to, "What is clean, or what is orderly." I do a full clean once a month around my house, and a quick wipe down of the kitchen after I cook. And that's perfectly acceptable in my mind. But I'm "gross" compared to my sister/mother. So when I hear these relationship studies of, "Women are doing more of the household work compared to men", I rationalize it as seeing a woman cleaning something, that a dude doesn't think is dirty. Of course he's not going to clean it, to him, it's clean. And then those differences in values are not adequately communicated between the two. If you want to then call Men gross, or Women nit-picky, so be it, but it's a different conversation. The core of this issue, is that they're not effectively communicating their differences. I will certainly do chores around my house. I live alone. I need to. But I'm not going to clean to *someone else's* standards. It doesn't make any sense.

Is it ok then if she just lays there during sex or cooks bland meals because she’s not going to perform to your standards? Honest question because to me you have a fair point if you’re only focused on yourself but successful relationships usually mean partners are willing to compromise to make each other happy on things that really matter to their partner. To me, your reasoning would apply more to a roommate than a romantic relationship.
@RGS578
@RGS578 Жыл бұрын
@@missinterpretation4984 I'll rephrase this back into my comment. "Is it okay if she cooks bland meals, if she thinks her meals are not bland, but I think they are bland." - I would have a conversation with her, and tell her that I personally don't like her cooking. And I would compromise by either cooking myself, or help her cook meals we could both enjoy. "Is it okay if she lays there during sex like a dead fish, but she really enjoys laying there without much engagement." - Personally I'm not sure if I would be sexually compatible with this person, so it's hard to imagine being married to them. Ultimately, I would probably have talked about it early in the relationship, and then broken it off if we weren't compatible in that way. I think compromise is very important in relationships. But I think it's equally important to understand that people have different tolerances for situations. Like for example, this is something I see happen in relationships a lot. One parent will end up bearing most of the brunt of disciplining the child. One parent will usually say, "I'm always the one disciplining the child, and you're not... You need to step in more often." But then if you pull back from the situation, and look at the two parents. Let's say parent 1 will discipline their child after 10 seconds of them misbehaving, and parent 2 will discipline their child after 50 seconds of them misbehaving. Of course parent 1 will discipline more often, because they have a shorter fuse to deal with the problem. And it only turns into a problem, when they don't talk about their differences, and blow up at each other for some perceived unfairness.
@missinterpretation4984
@missinterpretation4984 Жыл бұрын
@@RGS578 How about if I’m that 40 second difference the child is drawing on the walls with crayons. It’s cool because my fuse is longer. That creates a lot of resentment in relationship because one person just doesn’t have to do as much because they’re just more chill on things that don’t bother them. I think at the end of the day if someone is a neat freak and that’s just not compatible for you that’s totally your choice. But I see a lot of situations where men don’t contribute to the chores because they just don’t care but then expect her to be at a certain level in things that matter to them. You don’t seem that way, tbh you seem pretty reasonable so I’m not saying that’s you at all.
@RGS578
@RGS578 Жыл бұрын
@@missinterpretation4984 It does create a lot of resentment. Which is why it needs to be communicated. Hell, it basically ruined one of my relationships, because my GF at the time would text me everyday, probably once every 8 hour or so, so I never "initiated conversations". And it took me years to realize that my threshold for starting conversation was more on the timeline of 1-2 days. It built up resentment, and ultimately blew up with her saying I don't care about her. I rectify it now by acknowledging it, and doing better to meet the threshold of whatever my partner needs. Could have been resolved if we talked about it. But fact of the matter, I had no idea that I was doing anything wrong, and we never spoke about it until it was too late. It's a failure of expectations, and then communication. She expected me to "care", but I was under the impression that I was, "caring".

its funny how he says "But Why?" when Just Pearly raises the point about "Women initiating Most Breakups!" but destiny never looks into "Why?" She raised it at that moment of her clip She responds with this fact when the context is about incentives for women who already earn more than before to continue dating up or marrying up! and how that is affecting society in terms of families in the gynocentric social structs we are in now. She never gets into who's fault it is when it comes to break ups nor is it relevant at that point in time. But I love pearly for pointing out the flaws in the social services system, when ABSOLUTELY NO CROSS EXAMINATION is done against a woman and they are automatically believed when they use the word ABUSE, and how often its "ABUSE" that is both ways and easily inflicted by the woman's provocation, narcissism, lack of respect and loyalty because she has an agenda .... but NEVER seen that way by default! but oh I forgot, you have to accept all this because you are masculine. what UTTER rubbish these simps talk.
