To the credit of the ancient Egyptians the pyramids were cooler looking back when they were new. Their surface was polished white marble, with the top covered in gold. How badass that must have looked back then.

probably the coolest thing about assassins creed origins was being in Egypt at it's peak as a civilization. the pyramids were exactly how you described it and it looked fuckin awesome.
@sarinat3101
@sarinat3101 Жыл бұрын
If you read Robert Doherty's Area 51 series, the polished surface was meant to reflect a giant radar signature into space, and the golden capstone was the master control for a network of pyramidal alien computers. The aliens were stranded here and trying to use humans to contact their species, but they accidentally attracted their wartime enemy instead. So they hid the capstone and ripped off the polished surface.

@@godyamit i think he means xqc figured destiny would be on his side since in the past all these big streamer drama shit happens he manages to stumble into the right position by happenstance of the situation. Now that he's actually on the kinda shitty side of the argument, he's trying to say that Destiny's position has changed from before which it hasn't...XQC is just lazy and any answer that includes him being proactive in any extent is a negative for him. Because he just wants to watch youtube and play videogames and get paid millions for it. He doesn't have any goals or future ideas for his platform beyond growing and money.....even when XQC first started I don't think he's ever deliberately tried to maneuver in a way that's growing himself as a person and also growing his platform. It's just money, and if it isn't about money for other streamers or content creators he get's super assmad and doesn't understand that even if there was no money lost creators on youtube still don't want him uploading his face in the corner of their videos wholesale with no cuts, edits, and the entire video can be watched on his channel instead.

@@falseprophet1024 IIRC to move a block from the quarry to the build site would have taken like a full day with a small team of less than 10 people. Then keep in mind that there would have been thousands of builders working on each of the Giza pyramids. The current educated guess of 15-27 years for each is very realistic.

The reason why the plane circled might be related to the temporary outage, say some natural cause like solar flare effects downed the signal communications at the same time the plane was flying through the area, until they could get their signals back up or switch to some alternate signal they might circle to stay in place rather than proceed on a random course

Care to explain the channel that is carved in the 2nd hardest stone known to man, in south america, that deviates by like a nanometer over hundreds of yards, which we still cant reproduce to this day? Why are the younger ruins surrounding this site built to try and immitate the older ruins? Like, why do assume that aliens wouldnt prefer stone architecture? Why would they necessarily build metal sky scrapers? Because we did?

This happens in Australia every few months. Sometimes the outage is for days. It's just a tower problem. You look up your isp outages, it'll say tower issues etc. Whatever isp you have may all use the same cable/connection, which is why they were all down. The cable/connection provider just does a hard reset and it fixes itself in roughly 5mins.

Destiny argues in such good faith, because when someone utters some complete gibberish to him, he goes on Google to to find out what the best interpretation of their gibberish is to steel-man their position, so he can actually respond to it, rather than saying something like "dude you're not even making any sense".

As an archaeology student, I’m absolutely sick and tired of the “aliens came and taught our ancestors everything we know”-theories. It feels like pissing on our past. That humankind learned through trial and error is cool enough, you don’t have to add aliens and whatnot to make history more exciting imo..

Charging people more for their weight wouldn’t be good for business. Since a large portion of the population is overweight it would deincentivize people from flying which would be a loss from a business perspective. It does make more logical sense to do it that way, but not from a business sense.

The pyramid thing is actually pretty interesting. I don't know about it being Aliens but I definitely think the Great pyramid is a lot older than the official 4.5k years. The sphynx could be a reference to the age of Leo and it shows signs of water erosion that couldn't have happened within the last 4.5k years. At the quarry sites they have also found evidence of tubular drills being used despite them having not even invented the wheel yet at the time. Copper tools also wear really fast. There was a small shaft in the great pyramid which researchers sent a drone down to explore and it found a sealed panel at the end with two copper pieces sticking through it like a cathode and anode or something. Also the pyramid supposedly used to be capped with an alloy called 'Electrum', an alloy made of gold and silver. No hieroglyphics are found inside the great pyramid either. I think it's possible it was a structure that functioned as more than just a tomb at one point. 🤷 Sorry if that read like a schizo post I'm bad at writing. UnchartedX has some pretty good videos on this stuff

weren't they mostly indentured servants, lower class peasants, or basically slaves in the feudalistic sense? serious question I don't know. I do know that the actual documented history of egypt shows that the jews being slaves was only sort of true, and that it probably wasn't a mass exodus from egypt like the bible claims. more than likely a sect of slaves were jewish and revolted and fled or something like that. Not this entire population of workers up and fleeing together under one man's leadership while being pursued by the egypt's soldiers. I'd have to refresh my memory on it.

I’m 100% with X on the obesity and sugar tax. I’m with Destiny about the pyramids and aliens. Also, the airplane argument is actually even better than they think. I work in aerospace engineering, and everything designed for airplanes uses 170 pounds for passenger weight. It’s an outdated requirement but it used to be and imo should be more accurate to reality. There are huge margins on factors of safety for airplanes, but if you’re 300+ pounds, nothing is designed for you and you are the least likely to survive any kind of emergency situation. I imagine it’s similar for road vehicles.
