I often wish they'd included somewhat larger hangar doors in the vanilla game, just cause they limited their potential there for allowing some ships to fit in their bays. Even if they needed to use an extra block for it to compact into. Some of these creations reminded me of that limit.

Some really cool looking ships. Well done for keeping the whole faction's stuff in a uniform colour scheme too. Can't say I'm a fan of internal thrusters though. Yes, it works, and is really effective. But it really shouldn't lol.

I thought the Large Grid Small hydro thruster had a 5 block damage range. all the internal thrusters are spaced 3 apart. as always Husker just puts us to shame with all his magnificent evil creations :)

Conveyor junctions don't lag nearly as bad as they used to. As a veteran player myself i still squirm a little when i see conveyor junction spamming but the amount you need to cause lag now make any real concern largely unjustified. Andrew gaming made a video showing just how many you have to add to a grid before it starts to lag and it's kind of crazy. The "don't overuse junctions" statement the devs made was all the way back before they even had planets and there's been a few improvements since then.

i dunno id say all the ships are really well sized . The pella for example is only like 20m bigger than hte rossy everything is tactically sized and makes sense imo

@@Husker5454 Yes, the Frigates are mostly fine, with sizes between 30-70 meters. The problem is with large ships. Donnager has 475 meters, Truman 376 meters, Leonidas 270 matters, Scirocco 200 meters. That is huge size spawn! In navy Battleship is usually at best twice as long as Frigate. Carriers maybe three. It is because of square cube law. Twice as long ship has four times more surface and sixteen times more volume. For reminder Donnager could carry 6 Corvettes or 12 Morrigan's in hangar! That is insane! And I would not even mention that Nauvoo/Behemoth have size of Xyston Star Destroyer.

@@TheRezro Normally i would agree but our own aircraft carriers are 330m long because they are mobile battle assets the donnagers and trumans pose this same role with multi function . If you look at the donnager none of the visable space is just there for looks every component looks to be built into the ship such as the engines and then reactor housing between them . then you have the hanger for fitting the small ships and space onboard is taken up by living space , training like simulators and ranges everything you would see on a modern day aircraft carrier . now with the added benefit of being big enough for powerful railguns and weapons . TLDR : I have a hate for massive ships in scifi that are just designed to look cool like basically everything out of starwars and star trek but in the instances like BSG and the expanse where their size is explained and makes sense i see it as perfect .

@@Husker5454 Yes, but our Frigates are up to 140 meters, with Expanse ones having half of that size at best, what would imply that for constructions reason larger ships also should be half of the size or Sirocco is actually a Frigate and Raci a Boat. Over hundred meter size difference, between ships of supposedly the same type is quite unnatural, until we enter Star Wars realm. What I'm saying is that they could solve whole thing in better way.

@@TheRezro I dont think they need to necessarily always confide to earth side sizes tho . its what they are tasked with doing . honestly dont have an issue with expanse sizing by any means . the scirocco also performs as a MMC training cell aswell as being a ship that deploys them so it makes sense being bigger than the rossy which is strictly a gunship and the morrigan being a patrol boat . and looking at the morrigan all of the ships hull space looks to perform a role like the donnager . Front is weapons , under is for the pods , rear is just engine and reactor housing and centre is living and the extra space would be for MMC training simulators and equipment designed for them which could include ground vehicles that could drop in tandem with the pods . just speculation but id say thats what the space is for
