Im a little sad we didn't get to see alot of the large fighting 20-40 minutes in. Including my supposed boarding party on the wall top wich was infact me throwing my dying corpse at the walls naval cannon defenses as a self sacrifice.

Space engineers needs vanilla high caliber cannons, long ranged guns, etc.... I hate that they added guns for engineers but not grids...

@@untodesu That's an abuse of game physics... Just like clang jetpacks and unlimited thrust/speed glitches.. I mean like actual turret turrets or mountable guns....

@@untodesu Clang isn't a natural phenomena of the game... Everyone who plays space engineers already knows clang only exists due to the limitations of the game engine.. Its like saying you're playing the game properly when they have a duplication glitch and you exploit it... Yes its part of the code, but its clearly not how the game is supposed to be played. Its a biproduct of the games features not matching up with the games physics... While everyone is welcome to play how they want and exploit the game however they wish, I enjoy playing vanilla... I just really wish the vanilla had more options to choose from instead of depending on mods from 3rd parties.

@@teddy5004 they have some sort of large rail gun shown on as a teaser on a dev stream recently. No idea what they might have up their sleeves for turrets but we can at least give our ships a big spinal mounted gun.

This is such an awesome concept. Would be awesome if there could be made a game that is more suited for something like this. The Mortal Engines idea of giant cities moving around and eating eachother for resources or something. You know, something with a bit more thump to it. More visible destruction that doesn't take an eternity to go trough and such. I mean, I've got nothing against Space Engineers, of course, but I just feel like everything moves so slowly and stuff, you know? And things doesn't get nearly big enough either. So you know... If there could exist a game more suited for these kind of ideas... That'd be awesome! Unfortunately, the movie did so extremely poorly at the box office that nobody would EVER decide to make a game based around that. XP Anyways, this Space Engineers stuff (Which might be the closest thing we get to said game idea) was AWESOME regardless if it was a bit slow and stuff. Would love to see more from this in the future, you know... make it into an annual thing maybe? (Unless it already is, and I'm an idiot. XD ) Anyways, awesome finale. Keep up the great work. ^^

It's slow because of the massive lag. This many moving blocks are too much. I want to make a game you are describing one day, currently learning game dev. An idea of a multiplayer castle/fortress brutal defense from machines, monsters or whatever really gets me going.

For something like this to exist, you would need to heavily simplify it, possibly even converting it to 2D so that you can overlay lots of function into single tiles. Robocraft is a very similar concept, but they have to keep their formula very simple, limiting the number of pieces. There was a time you could fit a lot more onto your machine, but giant statues on wheels were super laggy.

Great video! Was lots of fun artillary battles and a few too many invisable rocks. Shame there isn't more footage there was lots of mayhem murder and charges. Season was great with some fun battles and terrible invisable rocks and trees!

Loved this server concept, it is nice to finally se a big battle. The motion cities players seemed a little limited though, but maybe the server can´t handle bigger cities, also very little action between them, so few attempts of eating each other (at least on video). It was great anyways.

It looked like it was struggling with the small cities they had. In another 5-6 years, our computers will be able to handle this. Ever come back to a really old game with a brand new CPU? It's the best.

I wish one of your servers would last for longer than 1 damn video... You know what's nice, progression and it's impossible to see it in any of your videos anymore. At least before you'd give a tour of ONE server like 50 times from beginning to end. Now we are lucky to even see them once before they get all destroyed and the project moves on. I love series and I just can't get behind standalone videos every time. That's why I haven't been watching for several months, still support the work though.

I guess the problem is that a lifecycle of a server is not that long. If you wait to long most players are going to get bored.

@@blise518B I suppose but a server could last at the minimum a week. That could be at least 2 videos per day. 14 videos for 1 server and theme. That I can get behind.

The iterations last for four weeks at a time and yeh I do agree that more server tours (maybe back to once a week?) and in depth looks at certain large craft and bases was much cooler to watch over the 4 weeks as everyone progressed. And there really havnt been many if any videos on the other events that take place.

SE weapons is hella overpowered. Battles and fights would be so much more fun if ships didn't get blown up so easy. A lot of the mods can one shot a grid and take it out.
