I'll be buying the legion GO around black friday. Its between the ROG ally and the GO for me since on ebay they are similar price. The difference maker is the USB 4 on the Legion go. EGPUs without proprietary garbage

These companies need to hop on the 32gb Ram train asap. GPD, OneX, Ayaneo have been doing 32gb for years.... why is Asus stuck with 16 and 24. 24 is okay at best, but still causes some stuttering in games as it limits out. The 32gb makes a huge difference so unfortunately nothing on your list really makes much sense for serious gamers. I have 8 or 9 handhelds including the lego and ally, returned the x because no performance change. GPD remains my go-to with 32gb ram and zero stuttering in any game.

Never had stuttering on my pc with 16gb of ram. You sure it’s even capping out that ram. Most games even with rtx are much more demanding on the gpu and it’s vram instead of cpu and ram from what I’ve experienced.

Steam deck refurbished seems like the best bet for me. It will be my indie/retro gaming machine as i enthusiastically keep my eye on technological progression. I dont feel like handhelds are quite at the point of performance and efficiency to justify the price point of the higher-end models (yet). If i want power ill lean on my 3080 desktop for now

rog ally x is just the most user friendly and easy to use handheld pc. This comes from a guy that have steam deck, GPD win max 2, GPD win 4, and GPD win mini, and I still use my ally x the most

I didn't even know that the original Rog Ally was going for around $350 used, until this video. I've been looking into getting a PC handheld for around that price range, though I mainly play indies on PC. But still, this video was helpful to me, so thanks.

I was interested in the MSI claw but the performance/price ratio didn’t make mush since and on eBay and FB marketplace there started at $400 and up so I bought myself a rog z1 for $300 off eBay waiting for delivery today as far as the steam deck I still have the 64gb LCD for non windows games because it runs so smoothly a console experience

I'm unsure about getting a gaming hendheld other than switch but if i were to get another handheld most likely steamdeck since its price is more affordable than the $700+ style ones that run on windows. The only other options if finding such devices in store rather than online only but something more affordable is what i mainly look for.

I have a steamdeck lcd, want an upgrade but am thinking I should just wait until the year runs out… might grab an ROG Ally for the boost during the holidays, trying to resist though

I would have been fine with the Rog Ally Z1 Extreme white if the battery was better, granted I don't play handhelds for more than 45 minutes these days but it would still be on my mind.

I'm selling my deck for 320€, probably will buy a second hand rog ally after that. I just prefer windows over steam os, also I'm interested in playing some online games that don't work in Linux. nice upgrade for less than ~50€

I would go with the go it was all you want mid price gen 2 sounds interesting but it might be wait a go lite will be cheaper but less powerful

Im looking for a handheld PC that I can play my cross save games on like warframe but most of these are glorified emulators… can someone give me the directions to one that is not the steam deck and can run actual pc games natively not just a android but with a bigger screen?

@@darrencoelho86 if you need to save money on a device like this, I would suggest an open box rog ally that is a pretty great value but if you really want a big screen, the Legion go has probably the largest screen on any PC handheld

I'd like to bring up the msi claw. I know the claw has a pretty bad rap, but that also means they sell for cheap on the used market. I was able to pick one up for $300, and for that price I can't complain. I mainly got it to test out some egpu stuff for when the next generation comes around.

Hmmm you know, i was thinking about selling my Steam Deck LCD to upgrade to OLED but if new handhelds are gonna be a big leap forward, maybe i will wait and instead use the money to upgrade my PC and few other things

I sold mine recently and bought a legion go it feels like a massive upgrade the screen and power miles better and using windows AMD upscaling and frame generation is a game changer,it even boots into windows on start up twice as fast a steam deck boots into steam os.
