I look at the NIL/ Transfer portal era differently. As a fan, i think it is more difficult for a coach now, than ever before. Not easier. I don't just see this as more avenues to get players to fill needs, but also see it as more avenues for players to leave. Being the fan of a team that realistically has always looked in from the outside of true contention, We have lost more Key players than we have found in the portal. We are not a poor school, but do not have the tradition, or deep deep pockets that some programs have. There are many schools that act as glorified tryout squads for the teams like Florida State (who bought their team last year, or Ohio State, Or Alabama, or Texas etc etc.. ) These players are recruited out of High school and if they rise up and play well, get plucked, for more $$. Recruiting now is not going and getting new players, but getting new players, and keeping the ones you have, if you can.. not to mention, then trying to pluck a few players to fill in your gaps that at the last hour can transfer... How difficult is it to game plan, when you have no idea who is going to be on the roster from summer to fall... the Portal is by far the biggest negative issue in College sports right now. Until it is either regulated, or the schools devise some way to reduce the use of the portal, the traditional product is being eroded at a pretty fast rate.....

Bham and Atl are the SEC corporate areas, but New Orleans was the desired final game for most of the SEC prior to 2020, Florida was a 2nd desired landings spot for bowl games, again prior to 2020.

@@michaelbardis I kind of have the same thoughts as yourself. I've seen alot of folks from Texas, especially Longhorn fans. That Texas is going to be the new home for the SEC office. I love their optimism, but the SEC would relocate to Atlanta before they would anywhere in Texas. It's been in Birmingham since the leagues inaugural season (1932) DYK?- Alabama won the very first SEC title (Reg seasn). Won the inaugural SEC chmp gm, and national title in 1992. Arkansas and S Carolina's debut in the league. 2012, Alabama again won the SEC, and national title, but did lose to first year program in the SEC, the Texas A&M Aggies. Missouri was also another team that had their debut in 2012. Will Alabama do the same in 2024? They have the team to do it. And I believe they will. Alabama will defeat Texas in Atlanta on Dec 7th for the SEC title, and I believe Kalen DeBoer will have a Heisman trophy winner, a national title, and COY awards, all in his first season at Bama. And it's going to piss alot of people off. And the conspiracies will be abound. Because Saban is still on payroll in Tuscaloosa. And I guarantee that there will be, if not already, people claiming Saban is still in charge. So what? What if he is? Don't mean jack! It just means Alabama is still the greatest college football program ever, and it burns their souls to know they will never be greater than the Crimson Tide. ROOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

It has been said before but ***IF*** Iowa is even competent and average on offense, the defense is going to be top 2-5 (again). Absolute insane return. I believe the most tenured side of the ball amongst all teams(?). Look at the points held opponents to and the schedule. So many favorable home games. Minus a weird hiccup easily 11-1. Even then, if Jesus himself decided to bless, bye week before OSU. And OSU looking past Iowa for Oregon the next week 🤷🏻‍♂️. Been to the B10 championship doing nothing on offense. Even without divisions, could not even be top 2 in B10 and miss the championship, and still be ranked high enough for 3-4 B10 teams to make the CFP
