I love how actors come to promote their new movie and then after one minute with Craig Ferguson, it becomes just a hilarious discussion between them. Fantastic show.

Really, this show was perfect. Warm, endearing, funny, laid back, sincere, clever, creative. An antidote to the usual commercialism and cynicism of usual media.

Damn, when Keanu said he wants a pomegranate he meant it, no matter how hard Craig tried to steer him. That's a straightforward, confident man right there.

A conversation about Sad Keanu. In 2010, Reeves was taking a break from some post-production work on Henry's Crime. He sat on a park bench in New York and ate his sandwich. He wore tatty jeans and a fed-up expression. There was a pigeon at his feet. A paparazzi photo became a meme. "Sad Keanu" was soon being cut out and doctored in inventive and amusing ways. Sad Keanu "Oh, that's fun!" Reeves says. "I mean, it's ridiculous. But it's cool." The Equire-You're not really so down in the dumps? Keanu :"No. A picture says a thousand words and none of them can be true. The best in nature is subjective. But, I mean, I looked pretty sad. I was hanging out on the street…I am absolutely very happy person

I don't think Craig or other people at the time understood Keanu about losing quality with digital until Chad Stahelski made John wick like a live art performance. No removing cameraman and Crews with digital tech in the mirror room of John wick
@liquidbraino3 жыл бұрын
They don't remove the cameraman when shooting on Red (most commonly used digital camera in Hollywood). They also don't remove the crew because somebody still has to light the scene, somebody has to feed the actors, someone has to set up a generator & run power cables, somebody has to manage the wardrobe department, hair, make-up, practical effects etc etc

@AhsokaJackson6 жыл бұрын
Oh, Keanu’s been on some different talk shows, plus he’s done things like Q&A panels plus some more standard one-on-one interviews. And he’s really fascinating and insightful when the interviewers throw him good questions that he can really work with. (He of course can only do so much if they’re just throwing him really random or surface-level stuff.) I also appreciate how forthright and thoughtful and also honest he is. You can tell that sometimes whatever answer he gives isn’t necessarily the one people are expecting or looking for, but he doesn’t try to manufacture one just so it can sound good. He’s really a lot of fun to watch: funny, witty, humble, and a bit shy. (-:

God I wish I possessed just *half* the conversational skills of Craig Ferguson...
@liquidbraino3 жыл бұрын
Sign up for an Improv or Stand-up comedy class or a Meisner based acting class. It will sharpen your conversational skills, especially if you train for several years. You get used to working from moment to moment; always staying in the present moment and genuinely listening. I think everyone should take a Meisner based acting class, even if you're not an actor and have no plan to pursue a career in acting. Lawyers do it sometimes simply because it sharpens your wit and makes you quick on your feet. I actually performed in a play once with a guy that was a lawyer and only took up acting as a hobby (live theater) because it made him more effective in the court room. It can also be helpful if you're sitting at a bar talking to a girl - not so you can brag about being an actor but because it will make you a better listener.
