I remember watching this episode that night and laughing for half an hour because Craig lost it on the tweet-mail segment. And it's been saved on my DVR ever since. Damn, I miss Craig's show. Thanks for posting!

One of the single best moments in television history
@classiclife72042 жыл бұрын
Though Craig liked the robot idea of course, there was no guarantee JRT would actually be a live speaking sidekick. After a tentative, not always successful week of nightly interactions (including a bit making Geoff the "guest"), this segment put the question to rest, and the "tweetmail" segment became consistently the funniest thing on TV. Changed everything. Legend!

Sloane was such a breath of fresh air after that awkward "conversation" with Tony. I know some people see it disrespectful to ask about money but I'm sure Craig didn't mean anything by it. @@brownboy12691 actually tony is just an uptight douche. When Tony tried to turn the tables, Craig did what tony should have done in the first place. Not make it personal and make a joke about it. I'm glad he never came back.
@mariastephens18273 жыл бұрын
@@josephd9590 That's really unfair; I don't think Tony takes insult-comedy very well, and he likely couldn't tell that Craig wasn't being serious, and his feelings were getting hurt. I think he's more reserved and gentle as opposed to a 'douche', and needs a bit more tlc in a interaction :/
@AnnA-rk4vb2 ай бұрын
@@mariastephens1827 That's right. If you watch his interview on another channel, Tony is more like a respectful guy. He probably expected to talk more about projects than about his personal life and finances, and the guy tells him to do Broadway, even though he had just finished one there. The beginning was okay, but Craig was steering the interview towards an aggressive one. If the interviewee doesn't want to talk about the money and properties he owns, you focus on another subject, you don't keep insisting with ironic jokes all the time.

@mariastephens18273 жыл бұрын
@@rudyredcat425 From what I can tell I would disagree, he honestly just seems like he isn't completely at home with the environment he's in. He doesn't seem to enjoy being playfully insulted, he's probably a more sensitive type, and I don't think banter is really his thing; I believe he realizes as well that the show is more relaxed and so he wants to be able to fit into that vibe and just talk about stuff, but he doesn't bounce off Craig too successfully. I think he's a shier type who doesn't blossom well on a show such as this, he's more of a subtle comedy kind of guy
