Late Night AOE4 & CHILL | Age of Empires 4 FFA Multiplayer Stream!

Hey Turin, DarkHunterEzra here. Good job with the 1st game. You did good with the situation you were given. Unfortunately, I am unable to login with my main account so I had to login with my ALT account HierarchArtanis. I was discussing with Naniyori about what to do with the double Jeanne D’arc. Generally our nightmare was spawning next to the double ottoman team, the Jannisary and Great Bombard combo was what we were most concerned about late game, so one of us was decided to get the Royal College of Artillery to get the culverins. I am not the best Jeanne player, which was why you saw me losing her quite often. Shoutout to Naniyori for holding the line as my base was falling apart. Once we confirmed that our neighbors were Japan and HRE our main concerns became Japan as we knew HRE would be fighting whoever was going for relics. Our vain hope was hoping that Japan and Ottoman would fight HRE for the relics, but a clutch scout of the incoming enemy forces brought to our attention that we needed castle troops to repel the Japanese invaders. We knew our unit comps and knew to make Arbaletriers and then eventually handcannons and rebauldequins. Naniyori became infantry and artillery primary commander while I worked to being the gunpowder captain and eventual cavalry commander. I think it was by coincidence (not the unique unit choices though) that we got all of the different abilities of Jeanne but it really worked out well. Thanks for the wonderful cast of our struggle to reclaim our lands and assault on the ottoman base. I forgot to bring up villagers to keep drop the front lines of the Japanese base which led to us being on the defensive, but it turned out well as Valorous inspiration made both of our armies bring out the Last Samurai scene in earnest. Thanks once again for hosting the FFA games on stream and hope to see you once more!

1st game: Wow. I thought you all were FRIENDS. Friends don't do inflict that map on friends. XD Turin, absolutely fantastic seeing your work with the scouts. Made it work by just gnawing at the edges of the chinese. Was very Zerg, as you put! Felt kinda bad for Quill there for a minute. Like, getting DOGGED on and held heroically. 2nd game: I was rooting for the Ottoman team so hard. They really made it work but made a couple of missteps that cost em. While doing super well against HRE, felt like they may have gotten a bit disjointed or unfocused afterwards. Hindsight and backseat gaming here, of course, but DEFINITELY needed to murder the Japanese team a bit harder. Overall impressions; AOE4 is a terrific game and I love the new civs. AND most of them feel a bit overtuned. Japanese and Jeanne d'Arc stand out as "oh sweet mercy why" and not only in FFA. More than that, Ayyubids, Jeanne d'Arc, and Zhu Xi's Legacy all feel like simply better iterations of their baseline versions. Byzantine seem the most balanced and unique. The Order of the Dragon is theoretically cool but have the same problem Knight armies in WH40K do; How do you take something hyper elite and walk that line between utterly busted and utterly meh? Played some malians and I have seen that you underestimated the Scout. I had plenty success with the scouts as they are amazing in killing infrastructure, siege and ranged infantry. Thoughs for another game 😁. Thank you for your existence, I am learning either way 🙏❤️

Apparently, both versions of HRE are in shambles with the current patch. Evn Byzantines are better despite ho hard they are to play. Though, the difference is not like super huge.
