Hi Jamarrill, it’s so nice of you to help out the Apple orchard. I would love to do things like that but I don’t know how to find out about it. I’m assuming you found out from looking on their Facebook page since you mentioned that. Anyways last night I made Olive Garden chicken gnocchi soup. I googled the recipe, it was so delicious. I know you like soup, so I just wanted to mention it to you incase you wanted to try it. I made a big batch and than froze some in freezer bags.

I suggest a scrub daddy and scrub mommy also A razor knife and if you use it the right way it will not scratch your surfaces. Spray a good degreaser on the surface and let it soak by putting saran wrap over it and it will help pull the grease off

I’m not the only one that cooks my entire family gets involved. So when someone cooks for another it’s always a joy to hear family members walking around saying thank you for making which ever snack or meal it is. Your a blessing!❤️ Love from Wisconsin!

What a beautiful thing for a family. My mom had 6 girls and when we all did help, it was the best moments we had with my mother. When our families get together, we all bring dishes, drinks or appetizers and we are all so grateful. Not just for the food but to be together. Bless your family and may you continue to stay together and love each other conditionally.

I just love your videos! Ok-here is my suggestions for the stove. First let me say, I owned my own cleaning company for 20 years, cleaning about 665 hours a month with me and my team. This is what we did for a dirty stove that had stainless steel on it (we don't want to scratch anything)-First of all I would put the racks in the dishwasher with no soap on the hottest/shortest cycle (no drying), and then using the hottest soapy "Blue" Dawn water I could, I would rub that all over the dirty stove (so there is a bunch of soapy, sloppy water sitting on the stove-avoid the gas burners) Let it soak while you do other things-after about 20 minutes or so I would take a non-scratch sponge and thoroughly clean the stove top. I would then take a bar towel and wipe the stove top dry. Next, I would spray the stove top with Method Heavy Duty Degreaser (gray bottle) and spray the top of the stove and again wipe off with a dry bar towel. If it was a bit streaky I would give the stove top a light spritz with my window cleaner and shine it with a micro fiber towel. This was done in our clients homes about every other week. I cook from scratch and do pressure canning ALL the time on my stove and I deep clean my stove once a week with this method. It keeps all grease build up away. (The Method degreaser should do the trick on getting the brown off of you stainless. I have stainless on the back of my stove as well and this product keeps all of the brown away. Sorry for the novel.

You have a lovely new kitchen. In the 1950s I had a friend on the farm with 12 kids and I remember spending time there and the women in the family were busy constantly with the cooking and baking. And the kitchen was so small and no modern conveniences at all.

Jamerill, this is just an old fashioned mama making a loving suggestion. After each meal, have a slop bucket for scraps for the pigs and chickens. Then, each child can scrape their plate and load it into the dishwasher. Silverware goes in, cups go in. That leaves only pots and pans for assignment to older kiddos. In the long run, it will serve them well.

I’m so happy for you with this new stove. I worked as Chef for many years. KH-7 is a degreaser that I use on my stove to breakthrough that dark brown grease. It’s a good helper needs to sit a bit but works well. Ecolab has a greasestrip plus degreaser that I used at work which is best for burned on brown grease. But it’s caustic and you need to wear gloves and ventilate while using. It’s pricy but seriously best cleaner I’ve ever used. Then to shine a vinegar works well or shelia shine stainless cleaner used in foodservice for years. I got my new smaller size 5 burner dual gas convection range oven last year and Will never go back to electric again. Makes such a difference to cook on gas. Wanting to get some cast iron pots soon too. So glad the bigger stove helps you feed that army. You deserve the best. 😊

Weiman cleaner, Bon Ami, scrub daddy power paste, bar keepers friend, Comet and the Pink Stuff are my go to for stainless steel sinks and stoves. Start with Comet and end with power paste for your sinks. I put my sink plugs in the dishwasher to clean and sanitize them. As you know, most busy momma's use their sink for multiple things. As a vessel for fruits and veggies, to scrub pots and pans, to clean dishes that have been used by multiple people, some may be ill. I was told when I was young that the kitchen sink sees everything from dirt to germs to bacteria all day everyday. My momma always expected the kitchen sink to be cleaned thoroughly at the end of dinner every day with a bleach based product to kill everything. Because of this, my stainless steel sink shines like a mirror. My kitchen sink is decades old. Blessings 💕💕💕

Jamerrill you are a joy to watch! I have a newer stove and stainless steel sink. I have worked in the food industry in many capacities over my life but you DO NOT want to use super strong cleaners on the “newer” stainless products. Like everything else they put less and less stainless steel material into products and they can be damaged by the same cleaners that is used in a professional kitchen. I have found a cleaner called Bio Cleaner. I purchased it on QVC but they may sell it elsewhere. It is gentle but effective and it adds a layer of protection to bead up the water for a few days. I usually break it out every 2weeks, but it’s gentle enough you could use it more often. It is a clay based product from France that comes with a sponge and microfiber cloth and I’ve been very happy with it. Hope this information helps. Have a fantastic day!

My father-in-law was the Manager of Shop Operations of Bldg 3 General Electric which made dish washers. The first time I had my in-laws over for dinner I was cleaning up the kitchen and getting ready to load the dishwasher by pre rinsing the dishes and he had a fit. He told me to just scape off the large food and stick the dishes in the dishwasher. He told me that the GE dishwashers were tested by putting a whole cake in there and everything came out clean. You don’t need to prewash. 😂😂😂

I would try Bar Keepers Friend on the stove stain(try it in an inconspicuous place first). It also works great to remove the grey marks aluminum pans will leave on the Quartz counter tops when they slide on them. I love my quartz but I have to use that or just throw towels down under my pans when I'm filling them up for the freezer. I use stainless steel cleaner on my fridge when I'm "deep cleaning" but on a daily basis I love a damp microfiber cloth. Your kitchen is so beautiful and inviting! You can feel the love in that place❤️

I was watching Becky @acrehomestead and she sprayed a cleaner on her stove and then put a damp towel over the extra dirty area and let it “soak”. She went back after a bit and everything came up with minimal scrubbing. This worked on hot sauce she was making and it boiled over and “cooked onto” the stove.

I am a cook for a pre.school/ day care. For the stainless stove I use those yellow sponge with the green scrubbed on one side. Don't scrub with all your might. Just warm soapy water and use green side gently. It removes that brown grease spots. My stainless fridge I wipe down with warm soapy water and wash cloth then dry. Once a week I polish after removing any heavy dirt. A clean shiny fridge always makes me feel proud of my kitchen. Love ya . God Bless.

Then did small circles all over the oven fronts to remove that brown staining. Wiped down several times with clean damp cloth. Ending with wiping along the grain of the grain of the steel. Dry with clean cloth. Comet in the green can. Never used anything else.

Regarding cleaning your stovetop and burned on crud. Like you, my main cleaning products are baking soda and vinegar. The general rule is clean acid with alkaline, and vice versa. Anything cooked is acidic, so you got it right, baking soda for the stovetop messes. A thin paste with a paper towel to keep it moist while you let it soak. (For crusty pots, add baking soda and water then soak overnight.) You can also make your own soft scrub with baking soda and soap, in proportion to your liking. I’ve also had good results with barkeepers friend; it’s another type of acid and works well on the sinks. Hope this helps.

The only way my grates come clean is soaking them in a garbage bag with straight oven cleaner for a few hours 😩 that wouldn't be a big hassle if I didn't cook all day or if I'm the mornings I wouldn't be annoyed waking up to finish cleaning something 😩 that might be a touch of laziness in me, though 😂

If you haven't already, try using baking soda with the vinegar for those brown spots on the stove. My stainless steel stovetop had a lot of those marks and grease buildup when I moved in and I kid you not, I was able to make it look brand new! Just sprinkle baking soda on it, then spray with vinegar and let it fizz up for a minute. After that, you can lightly "buff" it away with a rough sponge like a scrub daddy or steel wool. Easy! And very cheap!

Jamerrill have you tried Dawn Powerwash Dish Soap? I use it all the time for baked on stuff on my Stove ,counters and dishes . I just spray and let it soak for a few minutes . If it's real bad I put a cloth over it and let it soak for a few minutes. I hope you have luck with it. Love your kitchen. I think it's every woman's dream to have all that storage space. Thanks for sharing your life with us. I moved from renting a 2 bedroom house - wood fireplace, deck, carport, garage ,2 bedroom , full basement with large laundry room, and lots of storage to a small 1 bedroom apartment. Due to health and financial issues plus I'm 74 this move had to happen. It has been very hard to adjust to apartment living. I think this is 1 reason I enjoy watching your channel . Thanks for sharing.

Family of 7 here, the mats are great. I also have a couple. For the stove, I use a synthetic, non-scratch scrubby with Dawn dish soap (or another steel-safe de-greaser)

And on the stove itself, a little Dawn & baking soda works AMAZING

You made short work of those dinner dishes and clean up. My mom used to say, "The dishes aren't done until the stove is cleaned." Seems you agree! Must feel great to have the trees taken care of. Can't believe how much you use the freeze drier! Please show us when you make a meal using freeze dried foods! Doubt those grapes will make it to a jam or jelly! Bet the kids go through them quickly! Have fun saving the apples!

I have worked in restaurants for many years. Barkeepers friend is what we always used to clean the stove, sinks and stainless steal prep tables. Even used it in the hood grates over the stove and fryers. For hard stains we would make a paste with water and let it sit and it always came up. I use it at home now that I’m no longer in the restaurant industry.

Do you have barkeepers secret? It's gentle. Wipe it on. Let it set for a bit then wipe it off with water. It works on so many things.
