My high school parking lot had 4 cyl cars with 4 inch exhaust tips . It's so you can hear the thunder over the 2 12 inch subs in the trunk . The 18 second coffee grinder sound slowly picking up speed under the hood as we made it to 60 mph . The cars where birth control , no one got pregnant back in those days

Gotta love muscle cars first one I ever rode in was my neighbors 69 olds Vista cruiser with a 455 and a four speed it sat high in the rear and low in the front with steelies in the rear and cragers up front with no hood and it was a ugly brown with green doors and a white fender he drove me to school in it occasionally sadly he passed away about four years back but now his nephew has his hands on it and it's still being driven like it was stolen

@@AtZero138 that's awesome I love hearing people's stories and memories of cars makes me hopeful about the day I get the keys to my first muscle car I was almost in tears of joy when my mom showed up one day in a green and gold 1994 Ford explorer then tossed me the keys and told me to go look outside I spent most of the night in it seeing what all it had then eventually fell asleep in the driver's seat mom came out and told me to go to bed the next day I spent all day cleaning it and making sure I jotted down every scratch, dent, rust spot and paint chip on it (I let someone borrow it and they suck at driving) still get giddy Everytime I see it almost a year later

Fellow Burbank gear head here. 69 Nova with 327. We should try and set up some street legal drags by the airport. It's wide open and the noise won't bother anyone (quieter than jets). They got one in Irwindale. Have something cool in Burbank to represent SoCal car culture besides lame multipupose buidlngs and and shopping. Can do it after Bob's Big Boy meet up. I mentioned it to a cop a few weeks ago to allow people vent and ease street racing. He liked the idea.

wow, I like how he kept it all basic no nonsense, T/A series racing inspired with a vintage 350 abc, black torque thrust wheels and overall period correct paint aesthetics and looks. not a wild crazy over the top build trailer queen that one has to be too careful with and afraid to use properly. he can absolutely enjoy it , daily it and thrash it as it was originally intended. really great example ! also great to see that the young generations seems to get increasingly behind classics and especially American Muscle, maybe it is just me but they usually appear to be too much on the "playstation generation" side of motoring, you know, with the usual suspects of models and makes collectively known to be "racing" under the banner "rice" :)

If good ol Dennis is gonna keep that car as a street rod then tellem to toss a single stage oem centerforce clutch in there and get rid of that dual friction clutch, work on geting that heal toe bit closer to match revs and he won't be jumping his passanger all over the place like a pinball machine. I drove a 64 elco then a 69camerao both with the same kiethblack motor with 490 at rear wheel and I used to have big ol gnarly clutches them learned the stock oem street type clutch from hays is a decent go or even a ram style with alum flywheel will make that car feel like the newer camero and sound like thee good old school
