Good job Johnny. It's funny that I came across this, because I was actually on line with you at Barnes N' Noble Staten Island when Marky was there. I remembered the Gangsters of Rock, and you told me about this show so I'm glad I saw it. Marky's book was real good, he's had a great career, and you did good covering it here, keep it up. As far what Marky said about photos, you took a photo with him at B&N because he knows you, but he wouldn't take photos with the rest of us... had to like lean into it over the table, fucking awkward. He did talk as much as we wanted though, which was cool. Hey a question you can ask him next time- ask him about his friendship with Peter Criss.

21:30 he didn't do 10 albums w/ the Ramones, it was 7! Richie did the 3 in 84-87.

Yea Markys on 8 albums, Tommy’s on 3 and richies on 3.

7:51 I highly doubt, pleasant dreams was the last album by Ramones he liked, I’m sure he likes too tough to die as well which was there return to roots and comeback album, he probably didn’t wanna say it cause marky was there and Richie is on album, and he probably does like one of the later albums with cj on it as well but won’t say it either due to markys beef with cj now a days and who knows maybe he does like subterranean jungle but was just sucking up to marky to not get him pissed just cause he don’t like it.

Too bad Marky always puts CJ aside from the band. The lifetime award from MTV in 2001 was received by Johnny, Marky AND CJ. He said only him and John (Johnny) were there.
@Retfie7197 жыл бұрын
Afaik, CJ started that stating that Marky was not an original Ramone too. Which is obviously "correct", but Marky definitely spent like 15 years in the band anyway.

Mark, in spite of the fact that he joined after Tommy left, was an integral part of the Ramones, and was their longest tenured drummer. He also fit with the overall personality of the band better than other, more temporary members. He keeps the spirit of the Ramones going.

Mark should move on from playing Ramones tunes with support bands and go play as a drummer for whatever other bands... he should just let it go: Joey is dead (unfortunately), the band is over. I like the intruders, they were good. In the last 10 years It seems he is only profiting from "keeping the legacy alive"...that's no good.

The Intruders were real good! 2 real good albums. I also liked what he did with Misfits and Osaka Popstar. But probably the Blitzkrieg is his most profitable thing because it has a built in audience, and he probably doesn't have to pay the revolving door members much. When he gets a known guy- Graves, Andrew WK, Greg Hetson- they probably give Mark a Ramones-fan discount. Whereas the Intruders, who were a real band and talented, cant do it without being paid.
