I've only caught a handful of small ones near Juneau but I do know a few folks who have some "secret spots" that give up decent sized lings every so often. As you get closer to the open ocean (e.g., Elfin Cove, Sitka), your chances of nice ling cod go way up. Tight lines my friend! Captain Zac

Don't know if you monitor your comment section, but your review of the Hewescraft 210 ET HT, convinced me to pull the trigger on a 2022 Searunner, 200 Honda main, 9.9 kicker, from Tom & Jerry's in December, 2023. Same boat as yours, except different year hull. I live in the Puget's Sound country and will use primarily for a hand troller, year around. Thanks Zac...
