I been meaning to tackle this for a while. Probably be a spring project. Sucks not being able to drive in the rain!

Thank you for your videos. I finally completed my t top weatherstrip replacement on my 85’. It was extremely time consuming, tedious, often very frustrating and tested my patience. The leaking is worst, LOL. I am not discouraging anyone, but if your Fox is not a daily driver, and the leak is not extreme(both applies to me)...l would leave it as is or pay a professional(it will probably be costly). This is an experience I won’t forget

Same here. Tried it myself. Waste of $400 + it leaked worse than the flattened out factory ones.

331Grabber I still have mine. It’s a project car now. Used to keep towels in it for when it rained to cover the seats and my lap.

Question, doing this job as we speak. I don't see a mention of gluing down the main T Top weatherstripping. I would think we need to glue that down.
@latemodelrestoration2 жыл бұрын
It is not 100% needed but you can use a weatherstrip adhesive in this area.

Is there any videos showing how to remove the riveted part by the windshield on the roof. I drilled the rivets out to try and take bracket off for paint and it would come off so I was just going to re rivet it however when I was punching the drilled rivets out I put a dent on the left side . So now it will all have to come off in order for that dent to be fixed. Please help me and my brother have been working on that car for 2 years and we were going to paint it this week. And that dent ruined it. It’s a 85 gt. Thanks

Use a plastic scraper and gently separate the molding from the roof the car. It sounds like the old butyl sealer is still holding the molding in place. -Landan

when you list "alcohol" as a required tool to do this work, will beer be enough or are we going to need hard liquor?

You guys don't sell the ttop to body trim front and rear....will these trim pieces ever be available? Thanx lmr.
@latemodelrestoration3 жыл бұрын
Hi Christian, Thanks for asking. Bringing new products to the market like the T-Top trim pieces do take time. I have passed along your comment to our development team to look into it.

I mean ...I was interested in buying blemish quarter Windows... I blinked for a few then those flew off the shelf..... Thank you Landan and team LMR.
