I always have problems spotting celestial objects from other youtubers. The way you demonstrate by showing how to to look for them in a practical way is perfect for me. Thanks.

I really appreciate you saying that. I remember being very frustrated by not being able to find anything in the night sky and I hope my videos help people to see a few more things every month!

Thank you. Been watching for T-CrB for about four months now, I figure another three months or so and it will be too far west. Looking forward to Saturn and Jupiter.
@LateNightAstronomy2 ай бұрын
Yeah, T-CrB becomes a tough to impossible target in a few short months. Saturn put on a great show for me last week! The rings are about edge on but it still looked beautiful!

I hope to one day observe the night sky from that part of the world! Whenever there is a major thing going to on I try to include my friends in the Southern Hemisphere as well!

Thanks for the terrific video as always! Looking forward to your breakdown of the approach of 12P/Pons-Brooks as we get closer to the turn of the 22nd century (and all the comets in the meantime, of course).

Me too! I plan on doing these videos in a holodeck type presentation at that time! Clear skies until then!

Excellent work! What equipment and processing did you use for your image?
@Bortle10Ай бұрын
@@LateNightAstronomy I use an Evolux 62Ed for deepsky on an EQ6R Pro and Zwo 585MC Pro cam. For processing I use Pixinsight mostly.

Define ‘opposition’ please, for the astrology buffs use that term to describe energy conflict between planets…
@LateNightAstronomy2 ай бұрын
It's when earth moves in between the sun and an outer planet in our solar system. Opposition for Mars ever 2 years or so gives us some amazing views of it compared to other times in our orbit.
