Acceptance. If everyone just practiced acceptance wouldn't this world be a much better place? You don't have to agree with everyone but just accept them as they present themselves.

What’s with bigotry? How does the way others live their lives get them triggered so hard? Of course they spew a bunch of lies about bathrooms and obsess over genitalia. It’s baffling to me how much bigots need to police other people’s lives

As the parent of a trans kid you worry how they are perceived. Will they get beat up if they use the bathroom. If they go to wrong places. This piece helps or could help make it safer.

Neutral Comment: This explains why people don't like weird... it forces our brains to think... Harper is lovely... but she makes us think... hard... its not just a light-hearted watch... I embrace when people march to their own drum beat legally... its just that currently, our brains are racing with questions... one day it will be normalized and not so confusing!!!

Genuine question here. When people transition to a woman why do they dress like women? By that I mean two things. It’s a classic, long hair and dresses style of what women wear. Rather than jeans n tees style of dress. But also how does dressing as a woman mean something? Is wishing to be a woman incomplete without the dressing up element? I’m not being sarcastic or mocking. Just curious as how it makes them feel ? Without the dressing part would they not feel a complete transition? Hope this isn’t taken badly.
@arcturusnfshp
@arcturusnfshp 7 сағат бұрын
I’m not trans, but there’s two aspects to gender for every person, gender identity and gender expression. Gender identity is your internal “this is who and what I am” i.e., female, male, non-binary, etc., and gender expression is how you express your gender on the outside. If a trans person wants to express their gender identity through clothes, wigs, affectation, surgery, etc., it’s all their choice. Cis people do the same thing-a cisgender woman will also choose to express their femininity through the same ways, or not. Look at like the “tomboy” persona; not all tomboys are gay or trans, just they choose to express maybe their more masculine aspects as a way of expressing themselves, or they feel that’s the best way to express their femininity.

It’s an interesting question. For what it’s worth, I have a transgender friend and she doesn’t really dress that “girly”. She is kind of a tomboy. I guess it’s just each individual’s decision

Because people, regardless of gender, or how they identify, wear what makes them feel the most comfortable, or feel their best. It’s why we see some people who still dress the way they did in junior high, or like they stepped out of a time capsule from a certain era.
@mayakanitkar
@mayakanitkar 6 сағат бұрын
It's very individual, and arcturus explained it really well As a trans person I'll just add that often trans people who present as clearly feminine (or masculine for trans men) are less likely to be misgendered, be it on purpose or by accident. Gender dysphoria is a difficult thing, and sometimes "passing" can feel more important that curating a personal style.
