I think Seth has a good character that can catch audience's attention and he is capable to change it in anyway he want to but I think the reason that he doesn't push what he said or act too far because the producers want him to stay where he is because he's on basic cable and it's not in their best interest to make anything too critical unlike John Oliver's show, he can does what he does because he is on HBO.
