My husband proposed when we were at his parents house for the weekend. I was tired so I went to bed early but he and his sister stayed up drinking and talking. He doesn’t drink very often, so he got pretty drunk without realizing it. He has no memory of this, but he came into our room at one point and made some very un-subtle remarks about “having a plan” for a “big surprise” tomorrow while gesturing wildly at his ring finger.
