Anonymous KZbin Account Let’s be real, it’s not a competition but gay men are more accepted than transwomen. The show depicts that in many ways. The point is that many transwomen of color opened doors but still weren’t as accepted as gay men were in straight spaces. They didn’t tour with Madonna like gay men after vogue blew up or have many opportunities in the industry period. Have we not been watching the same show with the multiple storylines that highlight this. I feel like the show reclaims their time and influence that has been ignored by mainstream.

I dont care about someones _color or sexual preference + identity_ ; I treat everyone with *respect* + I accept them as they are and for who they are - unless they decide to treat me differently. First time I saw it, I thought I'd hate it. I was hooked right away. I won't bother to say why I thought that; will take away from this amazing woman MJ. I saw everything twice, and now that someone mentioned Netflix, I will look for it there and bookmark the series. It took me back, too, for I was on the West Coast when all that was happening on the East Coast. I did my part for the community, but it was a far cry different than New York City.
