Hey everyone! Just wanted to say thanks to Brass Against for inviting me to join for this project. I’ve been a dedicated fan of Tool for over 20 years and also recently become a huge fan of Brass Against. Was a real pleasure and honor to work with such impressive professionals and to get the chance to channel my inner Maynard. It’s not often I can let it out a metal scream, but damn, it felt great. This meant so much to me. What an experience. 🙌🤘

Thanks for delivering such a brilliant performance Samuel, highly enjoyable for the dedicated fans of Tool and brass against to see your interpretation, would love to see more of your covers in the future! I wish you a happy and healthy 2019 and hopefully you will have some more Tool material to sink into in that year. Spiral out 🌀

I was so over the moon about Sophia when she did the Pot. I see this one with you in it and sadly did not give it a chance, until. You are every bit as good and it shows how much of a fan you are. My wish list is Jambi, or H. with you on vocals. Great job, Mr. Hope. I am now a fan.

In my intro to psych class, we were asked if we believed in the death penalty. The professor tasked us with writing a position paper on the subject, which caused me to undergo a personal crisis. Did I truly believe that the State's taking of a person's life could ever be justified? I wrote enough of a response to pass the class, but that question has stayed with me ever since. In fact, it stayed with me right up until the 9:38 second mark of this video, at which point the music was disrupted by a youtube ad for car insurance. I now know the answer to the question that has plagued me, and recognize that there are some things that even a lifetime in prison can't atone for. Natural justice must be pursued.

Yes. Spot on my friend Danny Carey is the reason i started playing drums along with Mike Portnoy's work with Dream Theatre. So those two drummers along with Blake Richardson and Larnel Lewis i get all the workout i can handle. I am 66 now and it wears me out but worth the pain🤣 i don't know what Danny may think but i am guessing he likes it! My friends who i play with goung back decades always ask me why i started to learn with pieces so difficult. I just smiled and muttered to myself "what a bunch of pussies"🤣😂🤣

God Bless Fibonacci for this song

“God” has nothing to do with it😂😂. Give the actual people the credit for doing amazing things. And even if “God” did exist who would you be more impressed with the “God” who has all the answers to everything, or the person that was able to figure it out, make the connections, and get it right. Think of all of knowledge known and unknown as a test. You can’t say the one “being” that has the cheat sheet is more impressive than the guy who figures things out with the immensely powerful tool between his ears. Give thanks to the human mind not some fictional fairytale contradictory asshole who supposedly lives in the clouds.
@SSPspaz
@SSPspaz 5 жыл бұрын
FumUnda Cheese, someone's triggered. You've gotten awfully offended by someone who you don't believe exists lol. If you had halfway decent reading comprehension, you'd see the OP was giving credit to Fibonacci anyway for his mathematical discovery.
@fumundacheese8256
@fumundacheese8256 5 жыл бұрын
SSPspaz by praising “God” instead of Leonardo Pisano Bigello who was the man who discovered it. Why is it that for ever human accomplishment we need to praise some higher power? Why can’t we praise other people? Thats the problem i have with his comment. People do things not “God”.
@SSPspaz
@SSPspaz 5 жыл бұрын
@@fumundacheese8256, you've got serious issues with reading comprehension. The OP said "God bless Fibonacci for this song", not "God bless Himself for this song" haha. They were asking God to bless someone for their contribution, not denying said contribution. For someone who believes in God, that's a way of giving credit to someone. So yes, the OP was indeed directly crediting Fibonacci and those who discovered the Fibonacci sequence. You simply got your panties in a twist because of how they chose to express their appreciation. "Oh no, they used the word 'God'! I'm so offended that someone else dares to have a belief system that's different than my own!" If God doesn't exist, why do atheists lose their shit when someone mentions Him?
@SSPspaz
@SSPspaz 5 жыл бұрын
@Great White, such a classic "I know you are, but what am I" response. Thanks for demonstrating your stunted capacity for intelligent discourse. Nowhere did the OP deny or downplay the contributions of Fibonacci or any other mathematician. To legitimately argue that is quite literally retarded. Let me spell it out for you plainly. If I was your supervisor and you did a great job at work and I said, "Bless you for your hard work today Great White". Would that be a slight? Of course not. Maybe the term "bless you" is a bit dated for modern use, but in that instance I'm thanking YOU and giving YOU credit for YOUR contribution. Adding the word "God" in front of that statement doesn't change the fact that YOU are the direct object in that sentence being thanked/blessed, and it doesn't diminish the credit being given in any way whatsoever. It's merely a manner of speech and people like you are losing your shit over it. Again, this is just basic English. There's a distinct difference between the example above and someone saying, "Thank God for creating math!". You're purposefully conflating these two different statements to mean the same thing. If you understood a single thing about language or sentence structure, you'd see the difference. I suspect that you indeed see and know the difference, but you and the user above are twisting the OPs statements to fit your own hateful narrative. If that's the case, I presume I'm wasting my time on this conversation. Have a good life.

Samuel Hope’s voice felt perfect for this cover. It’s so smooth and controlled, yet his body moved along so fluidly. If his body was getting into it, that makes for an amazing emotion in the voice and I admire that. The vocals in this one are almost monotone, very chanting like, and for some people that’s as hard to maintain as high range vocals, but he nailed it. I can’t wait for another cover!
