8:20 the main reason for allowing a diesel engine to "cool down" a little after high idle high power operation is the turbo. Even in your trucks, if you shut the engine off after high idle, the turbo's compressor shaft will still be spinning without any oil pressure to the lubrication bushing. So you are basically just allowing the turbo to spool down a lot more and while at the same time, allow oil to cool the assembly.

What a great video. I have long wanted to go to one of these trade shows in Ontario, Canada, but they are only open to landscape and commercial contractors. Volvo is rather invative. My dad has been driving a truck for about 28 of my 32 years on this rock, and one company he was with put him in a Volvo, it was a very nice truck that I could almost stand to my full 6 ft two in. He could drive it strait into the mechanic bay, and the mechanic would roll up with a computer on a cart, plug leads straight to the engine block and do quick diognostics. I am a general contractor, though I specialize in landscaping. That DeWalt tripod lighting and the dimand saw are definetly on my wish list!

@leonk.10316 жыл бұрын
matt west Yeah but in the other video it was metal that was cut and he made the video faster when he had shown the DeWalt and normally Stihl makes the best Chainsaws,big angle grinders etc.
@mattwest63406 жыл бұрын
@@leonk.1031 no what I'm saying is that he had an issue with the Stihl product and called it the biggest disaster... But then was at the factory months later endorsing their product and kissing their ass. You're not telling me nothing, I love stihl!! But dude is a bootlicker for $$$
@oby-16076 жыл бұрын
@@mattwest6340 He also was amazed at the DeWalt saw just after that cutting their concrete example. Concrete can be made in any consistency of hardness, from soft to almost impervious. I wonder what hardness that concrete was? He was also amazed at Black and Decker having a battery that fit all of the tools shown. I did notice a lot of selfies as he was showing the stuff. Not impressed. Could have used less of him and more of the equipment.
