I purchased the same model in September, 2020 and it is a wonderful machine. I extensively researched on various brands of dishwashers and finally settled for this model. I suggest all the users, out of my own experience to use IFB brand consumables available at all IFB (washing machine & dishwasher) outlets , as we are sure of getting branded and genuine items, and quality and performance is very good. Where as, consumables purchased through online are not guaranteed about their quality and frauds are also taking place. Always, soak dish items or just prewash for few seconds, before loading in to DW and it pays you back, by way of very less maintenance.

very nice and detailed video .. i have 2 doubts 1. Is there any difference between serie6 ( sms66GI01I ) and serie 4 other than plate setting ?I found that the drying system is different . serie 4 has heat exchanger type and serie 6 has inherent type .. does it make a differnce in long run 2. Doesnt the cultlery tray reduce the height of the chamber for 2 nd tray ?

Apart from the drying technology - heat exchanger v/s inherent heat there are few more differences. 1) Series 4 is less noisy (46dB) v/s series 6 (52 dB) 2) Series 4 is slightly better in electrical consumption (i.e. series 6 takes a little extra electricity) 3) Series 4 comes with vario speed plus option which speeds up the washing cycle without impacting the cleaning quality 4) Series 4 is heavier (approx. 9 to 12 kgs) providing more stability to the machine 5) The upper rack is height adjustable so you can adjust it as per your need. Cutlery tray is more advantageous otherwise, you will have to use cutlery box, which will occupy the space in the bottom rack and reduce the over all space Hope this helps in making a right decision :-)

The the height of the machine is 85 CMS and the door has to be completely open flat for the rack to slide out. This means that you will need approximately same length (~80-85 cms) 1) Bosch is more reputed and established brand in dishwasher 2) LGdfd424fp is a 14 place settings DW (v/s Bosch SMS46KI01I is 13 place settings) 3) Bosch has a separate cutlery tray (LG does not have, instead it has a cutlery box which will occupy space in your bottom rack space) 4) LG has True Steam technology - which is something new 5) LG has quad spray arm (compared to twin in Bosch) - also LG has sprayer holes on both the sides of arm allowing water spray on the top of the upper rack 7) LG : Countery of origin is China v/s Bosch country of origin is Turkey/Germany 8) Most importantly : if you decide to go for LG - do watch this video : kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4a5eYOEoZl9jsU 9) Ultimately its a Korean v/s German brand competition :-)

Thanks. Yes planning to review this one soon. Stay tuned... The plastic base should not impact much on the lifetime. There are no motor rotating parts inside. The spray arms also rotate with the water force so it should be good with the lifetime of the tub...

But cost is much lower... I'm concerned why this big a difference.. Also IFB is coming up with IFB nepture ultra this one has additional small spray arm. Compared to bosch, IFB is giving better spacing optins.. So many foldable tints, led light, cold water wash program ( u can wash anything material- plastic also) I'm really attracted to the features n price of IFB.. But I don't which is more reliable, trouble free and long lasting... Anyways.. Im waiting eagerly for ur up coming video:)

3:30 is the max time, however the machine will decide the type of load and adjust the run-time accordingly. Drying efficiency is good and the vessels come out completely dry.

Siemens is 14 place setting v/s Bosch is 13 place settings Siemens comes with A+++ rating v/s Bosch is A++ rating, Siemens is expected to consume less water and electricity Siemens comes with SS inner tub v/s Bosch plastic Siemens gives multiple adjustable options for all the racks including cutlery tray. Siemens has a touch panel with digital display v/s Bosch has press button with LED display Siemens is no doubt a premium brand. These are seemingly minor things but all put together, it will increase the user experience by multi-fold. Siemens is no doubt costly but its a German engineering marvel. If you can afford it - go for it !! Having said this, should one spend 30K extra ?? - We would leave it on individual choice as Bosch is a good brand as well and does the job well.

Fantastic review. Quite useful in understanding all details. One Question, is the topmost tray removable?? What is the height of the items which can be accommodated in the topmost tray.

The topmost (Cutlery) tray is not designed to be removed. However it is removable and just runs on pulley with a lock mechanism. You have to carefully lift it up at an angle and pull it out to remove it. (suitable only for cleaning and maintenance - not for making more space for middle rack on daily basis:-) The cutlery tray has varied height from inside and it can accommodate items with height ranging from 2.5 inches to 3.5 inches - apart from regular cutlery, you can put big ladle, tea strainer or small bowls Hope this helps. We have not been able to do a review on IFB sx1 but for sure Bosch series 4 dishwasher performed excellent in terms of user experience, cleaning / drying, energy/water efficiency and noise level. Also Bosch is a well established/reputed brand in dishwasher. The only problem you may face is the product availability with the dealer as many people are highlighting that due to high demand, there is a long waiting list to get a Bosch dishwasher. You may check the availability with the local dealer in your area.

IFB is a good brand as well - the Nepture SX1 seems to be 15 place settings (bosch 13 place settings) and noise level is 45 dB (bosch is 46 dB). It does not seem to have a display (for timer etc.. ). Bosch is no doubt more reputed / established brand in this domain and if you are not getting Bosch in time, you can decide for IFB

You can directly open the door and the machine will stop automatically. Just ensure to open the door slightly and leave it for 30 seconds so that all the hot vapor escapes, before you fully open the door

Major difference is separate cutlery tray, noise level (52 dB v/s 46 dB). This seemingly small difference will add a lot of usability experience. So if budget is not a constrain, you can go for 13 place settings midel

Bosch, Siemens, IFB etc are selling aged dishwashers at higher price. Voltas Beko, renowned Turkish dishwasher is the least priced and most advanced dishwasher . It is being sold in more than 20 countries. With TATA warranty on motor for 12 years, Bosch has no competition with Voltas Beko. Voltas is a 14 place dishwasher with inverter motor, stainless steel tub, steam option and a third extra spray arm, which are not there in any other dishwasher. At 41000/- Voltas Beko is the best dishwasher.
