So, your kid gets questioned by the FBI for threatening to shoot up a school, and a few months later you buy him an AR for a Christmas present? WTAF is WRONG with people?!!! Some people should NOT be parents.

Many of these cases and same COLONizer edomi(red) bloodlines actually gift their CHILDREN with these high powered automatic war weapons and other arsenal. The other factors are these parents THINK their child can do NO wrong. And due to the PALENESS of skin coloring lives a privileged life. Thinking about how DUPERIOR he is the Dad has no idea that he NEEDS a Mental Health Check in!!! As well as the son. The other factor is THE SYSTEM: Instead of having said minor check in to Mental Facility, they monitor and brush it off. Due to 'SUPERIOR thinking'. Putting the whole COMMUNITY at risk.

I agree that parents need to be arrested for the crimes their under-aged child commits. But also, the school must be held responsible if this young man was bullied and the school administrators did nothing. Kids have the right to go to school to learn and to never be bullied. Also, back in 1994 our congress instituted a ban on AR Style Rifles and and a calculated risk of a person dying from a mass shooting was 70% lower. Once the ban was allowed to lapse in 2004 there was an immediate and steep rise in mass shootings by five times the number of shootings in 1994. So, since the ban was allowed to happen by Congress they should be held accountable, as well. It is crazy that the ban has not been re-instituted.

The real issue they fail to address is the culture. While officials often focus on guns as the problem, it is the underlying culture that allows these events to repeatedly unfold. This culture is marked by a lack of compassion and kindness, fostering competition and disdain for those who do not conform to the dominant group. If the other students, teachers, and school officials had shown more empathy, offering support for the mental struggles he faced, perhaps none of this would have happened. Shame on humanity. I think perpetuaters are now using it as gun of choice because it "cooler" but. I think these people would used handguns and others is rifles wernt around because data shows that. If law enforcement informed me that my son made threats to shoot anyone, I would have had the officers take the weapons with them or secured them off site and not left them in the house. I support 2A but responsibly must be maintained. Going to the school was not enough. Did he tell the new school about the incident? Did he get any mental health assistance for the son? Praying for the victims, their friends and families.

This father is more proof why we need serious improvements in gun regulations and enforcement.

It wasn't an assault rifle, it was an armalite rifle. Two completely different things, stop listening to the news because they're giving you the wrong info.

@@kingdomofme3681 When I was a kid, if anyone in our neighborhood had a machine gun, the police would have been called and confiscated the weapon with the help of ALL THE NEIGHBORS. IF YOU OWN A MACHINE GUN YOU WHERE CONSIDERED A CRIMINAL BECAUSE YOU OWNED A MACHINE GUN.

@@terryreynolds200 it's not machine gun??? It's an armalite semi-automatic. Do you know what semi-automatic is??? It's one trigger pull one bullet, like EVERY SINGLE OTHER GUN YOU BUY. ITS NOT A GUN WHERE YOU HOLD THE TRIGGER AND IT GOES. Those guns are illegal, but the news doesn't know what there talking about so they call it an assault rifle. It's NOT.

@@kingdomofme3681 not sure why you are trying to distract from the reality of needing more regulations and enforcement by arguing over the categorization or words used to describe the weapon used in this specific case. People are dead and it could have been prevented. More people will die the same way if we don't do anything.
