Ken has the angle of the OneBlade right. Holding the top of the head flat and relying on the pivot is cumbersome and can create nicks, whereas this reference surface angle feels the most luxurious out of any razor I’ve ever tried. A little pressure does go a long way. If only they could extend the lifespan of the blades or release more blade options as others in the comments have stated. OneBlade is a great razor and a company that makes high-quality shaving products.

That OneBlade looks pretty nice, but I prefer classic safety razors and DE blades, those are more cheap 🙂. Have a good weekend Ken 👋🏼😀

I don't know why, but I'm able to use standard GEM blades in my OneBlade Core. It's kinda nice. If OneBlade is reading this, you should consider releasing a GEM option. They last forever, and blade choice is the only real complaint I've seen. Otherwise, it's a super comfortable razor.
@DDB19836 ай бұрын
I couldn’t agree more. I’d love a GEM option. The Feather FHS is not only expensive, but inferior to a GEM blade. They’re extremely tuggy for me.

That’s a nice looking razor 😊 feathers are my favourite blade in my 34c, initially I found them a little too aggressive but by applying virtually zero pressure I get an irritation free bbs shave! Have a great weekend Ken Jon

Looks like a great shaving razor! I have a Feather Shavette that uses the proprietary Feather artist club blades. It’s one of my favorite razors. It gives me a super smooth shave with one pass. Easy to use as well.

Great shave Ken. I usually get around 4 to 5 shaves out of a Feather AC blade and 4 shaves out of a Feather DE blade. When I first started 10 years ago, I got nearly double that.

Shaving with a OneBlade core and a vintage Ever ready Gem side by side I prefer the Ever Ready. The Gem blades are cheaper and sharper. My two pennies worth!

Hey Ken, I love these One blade razors. I have the core and can hopefully get my hands on the element. They were my transition from cartridge to safety razors, 3 weeks in and I forgot I had sensitive skin on my neck. Great shave as usual, hope you have great weekend bud.

72 dollars for that razor huh? My most expensive DE costs around that. Muehle with a hand from plum wood, 3 pieces and very soft. Today I got my Proraso green cream and aftershave water and together with Muehle and Feather blades create a great experience. Also I recommend using cold water when using Proraso green. In general I like shaving in cold water.

You always have informative reviews. I'm sure the OneBlade is an excellent safety razor. And the 15% off is a good deal. I'm just not a fan of safety razors that require proprietary or non-DE blades.

It would be cool if they did a OneBlade that used a different type of blade, but then that may obsolete the FHS blades.

Ken don’t they still make the core which is the cheapest option. I am curious to know which would be a better shave the genesis the hybrid or the element? Although from what I can tell it is the same head but the handles are different.
@michaeldproject6 ай бұрын
The Core is still available as the most affordable option. From my discussions it seems like the Hybrid and Element have identical shaving performance, while the Genesis has the closest blade exposure.

Big mistake to use a specialized Blade instead of the commonly designed blade. I understand why but in my view a mistake. That might be why it's one of their cheaper Razors?
@kensurfs6 ай бұрын
All their razors use the same blade
@onebladeshave6 ай бұрын
It’s true, Feather FHS blades allow for the quick loading feature on the back of the head, without which we couldn’t have the same pivot or blade latch design. We designed our first razor, the Genesis, around the FHS blade in 2013, and all our razors since 🤘🏼🤘🏼
@DDB19836 ай бұрын
@@onebladeshave, I like your razors, and get a pretty good shave. However, the Feather FHS is really tuggy in the denser parts of my beard making the shave uncomfortable. I’d love a OneBlade razor that uses GEM blades. They work better for me, and I’m sure if you surveyed wet shavers they’d love that option too.
